  • I somehow don’t really get the concept. I buy a physical book and I can swap my physical book for a digital copy and back? Why would I want this, apart from getting a free digital copy of the book after copying it and swapping back and why would you want to store my personal library for free, when I can always come and get my books back? If I wanted an e-book I’d just get that in the first place.

  • I started eating less and being more active. I went down to two meals a day and little to no snacking. One smaller meal in the late morning and one bigger in the late afternoon. Also started to commute by bike at least twice a week and go out hiking more often.

Weight goes down not too fast but at a steady pace.

  • Wood is only good if you produce it regionally. Cutting down forrests to produce wood pellets for heating in Western Europe is very bad. Wood is most of the time not as sustainable as one might think.

Oil and gas are used as much as they are for a reason, but it’s also the reason why we face an ecological tragedy.

It’s not that hydrogen is perfect, but it has more of a place in the future than the other ones.

  • If you rotate your crops the soil does not get tired. If you need to water your crops, then you plant the wrong ones.

Good organic farming thereby is not as monocultural as conventional farming, because you can only use physical methods to fight weed.

Also if you look at the landuse we have it’s very small compared to older times, at least speaking for Europe. The problem is mostly not that we use the space, but how we use and destroy it with conventional farming. Also most of the landuse is for animal food, which can easily be reduced. If you extensively put the farm animals on grass again the nature can also benefit.
