11·3 months agoQt all the way. Funny thing is that if you choose to use GTK on Qt it looks decent but god forbid you use Qt on
MacOSGnome you have a terribad experience.
Another vouch for Xournal++ here. Never in my life have I been so frustrated with software until I was asked to sign a pdf. I also learned this is the entire reason Docusign was created.
Forget editing any wording yourself either unless you want to spend forever fixing the formatting. The ultimate software as a service is paying to edit a fucking document. When I found Xournal it was like finding gold in the ocean as it was seriously the only decent option on Linux.
Twitter didnt force signing in before muskrat owned it, sure they definitely made it annoying but it was possible. Ever since the takeover Ive left and never looked back. Well I actually tried to look at stuff but its now incredibly limited to just viewing individual tweets.
Twitter isnt that important and there are better alternatives being worked on right now that you should give your attention to. Similar to how you came to Lemmy instead of Reddit.
I would argue it is better this way. Why? well there are no ways to personally identify people on lemmy as its still mostly anonymous. You decide how personal you want to get. Also gets rid of the buying and selling altogether which means no money is made. Well atleast I would assume so.
Its like selling the data of 4chan users, or forum posters. All publically available yet who would actually bother other than youtubers reading them for stories.

7·5 months agoApparently all source 1 games are 32 bit. Except for CSGO…
I am so hype for this actually. Never thought about it but no other source 1 game supports 64 bit except for CSGO… so my theory is that this is the first step towards getting the game ported to source 2 someday!
4·6 months agoI tried making my own lens when I first started using Kagi/Lemmy but it was kinda tedious. Happy to hear Kagi themselves are incorporating it.

Im with Kagi on this. Wtf is wrong with someone sending you emails to an email you decided to make public. This person is projecting how fragile their argument is by reacting this way.
Vlad was doing the right thing discussing it in private first before they probably address this stupid attempt at causing drama. I read all of the shit they posted and it sounds to me like they are nitpicking/strawmanning AI features which are very VERY optional.
