It’s just a standard specification. The standard specification doesn’t specify which standards it itself should use. That will have been done (and should be done) in a different document. Imagine if each standard specification also references all the standards it employs. That would lead to unnecessarily bulky documents.
Additionally, the keywords informatiemanagement and metadata indicate that this standard is intended for use in information management and metadata settings. Not necessarily applicable to a web front-end setting

Who are you adressing? The guardian article refers to retractions in multiple journals.
Also, people are worried about socioeconomic factors involved in plasma donation and euthanasia. As they should be. These are always important to be aware of and to actively try to preempt.
These things don’t absolve the retracted papers from criticism. Nor do they exclude any other research from close scrutiny
I don’t think this is gong to be a success. I feel like the tech is a solution without a problem.
I think the only sensible application is niche, enthusiast gaming, and valve is already pretty established there.
We’ll see though. Apple will probably have thought about this and identified usecases and developed software for their vr platform

If anything, I am surprised they still had schemes that incentivise employees by distributing some form of equity
Bit alarmist no? Microsoft doesn’t necessarily need to build on top of the latest chromium. They certainly have the resources to just fork chromium and keep that updated.
