You can use a controller and it works great, but at this point I bet you’d rather use a larger device. It does make a lot more sense on iPads though

Their latest announcements are interesting because they say some of their privacy claims will be verifiable by independent firms (mainly when it comes to their custom built AI servers iirc). Is this actually worth something or is it just marketing fluff?
I feel like people will still be saying this in ten years (sadly)
This is what I had read about the iPhone 13 one too and I was ready to jump on the hate train, but I’m pretty pleased with mine (got it for free when I bought my phone). I’ve been using it for around six months and it’s looking the exact same as it did at the beginning
Seeing Apple admit a fail is always such a treat. Hope the replacement will be even better than the last leather case!
Yup! Been using it for years, it looks nice, has a good UI and works well. I’ll use the CLI if I need to but 99% of the time Desktop is the better choice (for me).
This is the ultimate YouTuber power move. Exurb1a and RetroGamingNow do it too!
I think I’d rather listen to some custom AI generated music than the same royalty free music over and over again.
In both cases they’re just meant to be used in videos and stuff like that, you’re not supposed to actually listen to them.
Right I see. Do you intend to keep that job a long time? If it seems to change you that much, it doesn’t seem like such a great idea :(
Yeah, that’s exactly how I feel too!
Did you suffer some emotional trauma or something similar recently? It’s been 5 years for me, I don’t have much hope of it getting better anymore honestly, at least not if I don’t get better
I used to regularly listen to music a few years ago, this was something I was able to really enjoy no matter the situation. But then I got depressed and I just can’t anymore.
Spotify will suggest me a song and I’ll be like « hey I kinda like this one ». I’ll listen to it the next day and it’ll feel super repetitive, as if I had listened to it hundreds of times already and it got annoying.
Thankfully it doesn’t happen with situational music like in games and movies, so I can still enjoy that. I’m also still able to listen to the songs I really loved before I got depressed (I don’t do it much though, don’t want them to get repetitive too). New music tho… I can’t :(
Ayy, nice! I got a base 14" M1 Pro myself and it’s a blast, especially thanks to that display. The refresh rate, brightness and colors are amazing. If you’d like to stay with a single computer, I’d totally recommend upgrading to it as the performance makes a lot more games playable.
Check out the Create mod in Minecraft if you like Factorio, you will love it. It’s basically Factorio but in Minecraft. Oh and Hades should run well on your MBA as well, I’d recommend you try it if you haven’t already!
Never said I bought it for gaming. It’s my main computer I use for everything, and if I can use it for games, I will.
I also have a desktop PC I use only for gaming but I rarely turn it on, it’s annoying to switch computers and I would rather play on a laptop most of the times.
I do! Lots of modded Minecraft, also Hades, Witcher 3, Tears of the Kingdom and Hollow Knight.
It often requires some tinkering and there isn’t that many games but other than that I love it. Baldur’s Gate 3 released on Mac so I’ll probably play it too eventually. Used to play CS GO, Portal 2 and the other Valve classics back in the day.
If Apple cared about Mac gaming it would actually be great since the recent Macs especially are really capable. But they don’t, so… it’ll probably stay a niche thing.
Get it used. You get a Mac without giving Apple money. It’s all win.
Yeah, this is exactly like the Reddit and Twitter situation. No matter how bad it gets, people don’t care. If they’re used to something, they’ll rather put up with the new bad stuff than changing their habits.
I started drawing when Reddit collapsed. Now I get to look at pieces of paper (or Procreate…) instead, that’s kind of better
Wasn’t Linus talking about this like two WAN Shows ago? Pretty ironic
I really enjoy the WAN Show but the LTT channel is hit or miss for me, most videos are way too long for the content that they actually provide. It makes sense considering the amount of videos they make, but it’s frustrating
I used to love playing Infinity Blade back in the day, but it was another time and they were games built from the ground up for touch screens so it’s not really comparable
