I blame Israel for the death of its civilians due to palastinian terrorism.
I return to my original statement, and we have now completed the circle and neither of us has changed. Much like the violence and depravity of religious wars in the Middle East.
So very similar to the history of countries in the area kicking out/killing Jewish people. I don’t even have a side in this bullshit. I just see a bunch of bad faith actors surrounded by howler monkeys hanging on to one side or the other. And the weird one-sided idiot rhetoric thrown around on this site. I would like to know if you think Oct 7th, or Hezbollah launching rockets into Israel on Oct 8th (or any of the many other dates) is terrorism as well. Or if using civilians as human shields is a legitimate tactic. Again, I 100% agree that Israel has gone way too fucking far, but I don’t agree that one side is assholes and the other side is saints. It’s that scene in Spaceballs, I’m surrounded by assholes.
Keep it coming. You are cracking me up. Nazi comparisons now, and I’m the unhinged one?
So reductive, inflamatory, and ill-informed. It’s kind of sad.
Simplistic rhetoric and superficial understanding.
You sound like a terrorist.
LOL, nice headline. These people are freaking nuts.
Do you have things on the external that precludes you formatting it? You aren’t doing it too often, so a tarball might work, but you’ll be wasting a lot of time doing it that way. Then again, if it’s once a month, that doesn’t seem like a huge deal. I just use rsync
now and then for my external backup and it doesn’t take long at all.
I’m kind of out of date with modern Linux stuff, but can’t you throw that in the .xsessionsrc
or .xinitrc
file?
Config an RSS reader for the channels you follow on youtube. Watch the videos locally after downloading them. That’s what I do.
Yeah, we knew that before Snowden. Story made me think of my uncle, RIP, who’s friend told him to “buy Cisco, trust me” back in the early '90s. So my uncle bought Sysco. He was pissed at himself until the day he died.
I’m no expert, but I think KeePassXC doesn’t need to sign in to a server somewhere.
koreader is my goto reader, on my tablet and phone. The interface is a bit unintuitive, but once you get it set up to your liking, it’s a great reader.
I just have some syncthing shared folders with friends/family. It may be a little weird to set up, but once there, it’s seamless.
Everyone in my family, from my elderly parents to my kid have switched to buckwheat over the past decade or so. Every single one of them loves it. That’s just anecdotal, but for me it was completely worth it.
Oh goodness.
I wish people would explain their downvotes for this post. It has more information and nuance than 99% of the posts on lemmy. I guess because it doesn’t fit whatever rage they are currently entertaining.
[Putin] declared that he and Mr Xi were “as close as brothers”
That’s nothing. The US elected someone who shared “love letters” with another of the Putin/Xi types in North Korea, and then went on to attempt a coup. Authoritarians love authoritarians.
Putin is just a bitch these days, and Xi is much better.
Linus either makes me think he’s a dick, or he makes me laugh. Sometimes both. I liked his response:
