If your work is bleeding edge enough, even ChatGPT won’t be of help since it’s not in their training dataset.

Ohh I had a similar experience with a quite big open source project (~10k stars on GitHub). Posted an issue, it’s obscure enough even the lead maintainer comes in to help and still got stuck unable to fix the issue.
Ahh, Elite: Dangerous. My pandemic times game. Played that shit almost religiously until Odyssey came out and tanked performance and burned me out of the game. Did manage to go into Sag A* before I stopped playing.
If you’re competent, a SM is invaluable, however it’s one of the easiest to replace role. As an example, almost all of the engineers in my division has a PSM I certification. So all the SM do is just facilitate meetings. When we started we have around 5 SMs but currently only have 1 because all of the SMs are redundant since the team already know how scrum works.
It took a special kind of sociopath to think yourself the best person to decide on which laws should be followed by millions of people. Civilization is inherently doomed to collapse. You just need to know whether you’re at the tail end of one to make a decision whether you want to prepare for the collapse to survive to live few years longer or just welcome the destruction and maybe your consciousness will reform sometime in the future.
That is an L take. Having a term limit helps increase the difficulty of making political dynasties. It doesn’t make it impossible, but it sure is gonna make it harder for a certain person or group to solidify their power base.
Teams are just shit like that. Although my company has migrated to 365 for our work apps, the team’s main communication is still Slack. With Slack I’m still able to find old messages easily and be able to link it in relevant context.
I think it’s better to use the last ten years
to indicate the period. People interpreting it as the 2010-2020 period is a reasonable assumption.
Pretty much. After I got married and started having kids I just want a PC setup that just works when I want to do anything on it. Without needing to troubleshoot some esoteric issue because apparently my motherboard is on a different revision version that changes the WiFi card to use some shit ass MediaTek card ONLY for that revision and now I can’t use WiFi or Bluetooth and I need to troubleshoot the issue for hours.
One thing I learned about Lemmy is their users are much more serious. There’s a lot of obviously sarcastic comments getting replies treating it as a serious comment here.
That being said, if America ever plunges into a civil war it would be the best time for them to cripple the US infrastructure and do anything they want to Taiwan and SEA while having the US consumed in an infighting.
I can understand your concerns, at work we can do BYOD for phones and the process for MDM on Android phones are much more complex and invasive simply due to the fact that you can install apps on Android via sideloading.
After the report that codes made by the assistance of copilot are actually shittier than code written manually I’m feeling safe until the next breakthrough in AI development. Meanwhile I’m saving up gold for the eventuality.
Facebook is bad but TikTok is bad^bad. I use neither, Soo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
For real tho, when me and my partner decided to delete our social media our mental health and relationship improved immensely. It even improved our social lives too, if I wanted to know how someone is doing I’ll just shoot em a text or call em and catch up or setup an outing together.
It’s a rootkit. When it runs it basically has complete access to your system. You’re at the mercy of the guys at Riot and pray that no one breaches their system.
IIRC Genshin Impact uses a similar system and a breach has already happened.
Don’t worry people won’t stay unemployed for long. WW3 breaks out and suddenly everyone unemployed is drafted.
If we’re really living in a simulation my dude is really asking for reality bending powers.
Just bouncing between Overwatch 2 and MW3 as currently I’m still burned out playing SP games since playing AC6 to NG++, AW2 on hard, miraculously managed to finish a durge honor mode run (this is what burned me out, too stressful playing CRPGs with only 1 save, with a durge run at that).
I’ve also found that Warzone 3 is surprisingly good so most of my old Warzone 1 squad are reinstalling the game and we started playing together again.
I mostly use Firefox, so I develop on Firefox and check other browsers for issues. That way, I can make sure the app and websites I’m working on still work on Firefox.
