Germany is one of the few countries that actually very critically review their own history and spend a lot of effort on teaching younger generations the horrors of war (and of national socialism obviously).
(Meanwhile Japan just recently wanted Germany to remove a memorial statue for the women in Japanese prostitution camps, and made a contract with China to remove one there)
„Nie wieder“ - “never again”
Usually none, sometimes classical music, Viennese Classic especially
Cars should not be street legal. If I can get a ticket for not wearing my helmet, why do cars get a pass?
communist nations have been defeated by capitalist hegemony multiple times throughout history, mainly during the Cold War
You are aware of the many attempts in different countries to leave the USSR, right?
All of them were violently shut down, that’s why the system was able to keep going, but without violence against their own population the USSR would’ve collapsed much earlier.
Wait they’re supposed to be pronounced with J? Except JS obviously I pronounced them all with G
S24:
UI not confusing at all imo, just your typical Samsung Android. And obviously not slow since it’s a flagship phone
No ads
Not really bloated (comes with Samsung’s own apps + Google’s apps but you can uninstall most of them)
Decently fast updates
7 years software support (not only security updates but also 7 years of new Android updates)
Wouldn’t say 4000 mAh 50 MP sounds that fancy, but it works very well (lots of optimisation for the battery and good software for the camera)
Downside: expensive (~600€ new currently)
Chess (on Lichess, either browser or app)
Got time? Practice openings or play online.
No time? Play 1 minute games online.
Inconsistent time (have to go any moment) or just casual? Practice puzzles.
That’s just crazy… When I’m sick I’m getting paid leave - when coming to work and they notice I’m sick they’ll send me home. This even makes sense from a 100% capitalist perspective, because it costs less to pay one person to stay at home and recover as quickly as possible than to have them spread their infection, making everyone less productive, but at the same time keeping everyone at work, greatly slowing down the recovery.
Vacation also is known to be net positive since even just one week or just a few days off every ~2 months greatly increases productivity and prevents burnouts. It’s like weekends but more extreme. You wouldn’t want someone who probably already is stressed because they have to catch up after being sick to also lose their vacation.
Those US-american laws don’t even make sense from the USA’s system’s 100% money focused view.
You don’t have mandatory paid sick leave but have to use your vacation instead?
That first wish is coming true with EV <3
I wish I could buy an electric motorcycle already, but they’re soo overpriced. Anyway, I expect them to become available at affordable prices within 10 years.
From what I know about the USA’s system it is binary - while you technically have more than two candidates it’ll be one of the major two (republican or democrat) who’ll win. So not voting or voting for a third party (which has no chance of getting elected(?)) means you don’t change anything, and if Trump wins without those blocks then that means you’re indirectly supporting him, simply by not opposing him with the only realistic option you have.
Please correct me if I’m wrong
So who are people under 30 supporting? Trump? Not voting or some third candidate also is a vote for Trump.
The only thing that used to be better was more physical buttons. And it looks like the EU will be pushing for that to return (requiring more physical buttons for the highest security rating).
Pumpkin seed oil
What’s riskier: Replacing him, or keeping him?
Which phone OS are you using?
