Idk what this is but why would someone spend time on such an animation?!
!noscrapleftbehind
Last time I moved. Went to the mass transit agency and got maps of every neighbourghood I need it go or pass through. I was lucky to find one with my neighbourghood as well as my office. I keep it this me always in my pocket.
It works offline, never bugs or slows down and the interface never have a glitch. And if I want to, I can still use the GPS that’s in my phone. It’s not like I lost the option bc I have a paper map.
They are free though…
Any way he choose. How would pick my as boss? That’s a very bad move.
TIL “My brother in christ” is use as a replacement from Nigga.
Thanks for the link.
Next step : “We made stone talk with us and to each other!”
Thanks. That will be helpfull.
Do you have any recommandation that is not linux or tech related. I struggle to find content there but I’m sure I missed many things.
As of today no. But I’m going by steps :
My goal is not to go full private or open-source but just less dependent on YouTube. Onfortunately so many youtubers are solely there.
Anyway, I believe that the day big for-profit intrusive company will stop leading the video hosting business, the format will get noticeably less popular as it is extremely ressource intentive. It will mostly replace by podcast and illustrated articles.
The explanation given here are very good. I just want to had add that theoretically, any Lemmy instance can communicate with another instance from another fediverse software but in practice, developers haven’t had the chance yet to make sure every feature is compatible with the each every other software.
If you want to try sending message across the different instances and softwares of the fediverse without spamming or flooding people discussion spaces there is a dedicated community: !testfediverse@jlai.lu
@Lemman@lemmy.world
There is also instances attached to national/local identity lemmy.ca, feddit.it, feddit.uk, jlai.lu (french), midwest.social, etc.
If you doesn’t understand the concept of federation very well, I believe it is best to pick a more general instance that doesn’t defederate much other. This way you will be able to explore community for many different instance and if you find a community to your liking, move there. Account migration is easy btw lemmy instances.
I’m glad that Reddit gave me the push I needed to finally join the fediverse. I absolutely love the technology to the point I don’t care so much about the content.
I do. I go to the twittoverse to hear about asian-drama but that a bubble that don’t discuss other type of tv: american show, turkish soap, telenovela, … we could so many community.
Thank you for that. It will probably work well in pair with Lemmy. The ability to compile a community or instance knowlegde out of the comment section and to an organised wiki will be very nice.
But if someone here reading as the time and skill, the sofware the fediverse is lacking is tv tracker.
Statistic is a really funny science. So some man who just pirate a 1 h 40 long movie will be inspired to also pirate a sitcom episode from the antipiracy campagne?
I’m very interested. Participating in active open-source project is very intimidating. Especially when not very strong technically or when suffering of imposter symptom.
I would like to build a place so people feel welcome and at ease to start contributing.
And I would love to be part of a group of people who would start discovering the topic of rust and Lemmy code base at the same time as I do.
I mean your Lemmy display name, the bear kaomoji (⬤ᴥ⬤)
