So what about 3D printing? Currently, input shaping uses an accelerometer to calculate resonances and uses that data to adjust movement and reduce flaws in the printing process. For anyone with knowledge of both fields, would this allow a built-in or add-on accelerometer to be used in real time to compensate for momentum and resonances even further?

Does this mean anything to the average user, or is this a very specific use case?

I don’t play many games that use it, but for Ark you have to install a separate BattlEye.

Is your scaling set to something other than 100%? That seems to mess with gamescope and mouse location detection or something like that.

I bought two things. One of them had a message saying “Guaranteed by (X date) or you get a $5 credit.” Obviously that was the one item that showed up late. Sure enough, I get a $5 credit, followed by a bunch of emails on how I can get five or ten times the value out of my $5 credit.

I would look for the next generation of GPU if you can find it. You should be able to find an RX 7600 for about the same price, and would get better performance and longer expected useful lifetime from it.

The one-PC-two-users thing is indeed more of a gimmick than an actually useful prospect. You can find videos of it being done, but it’s really not as nice as one would hope for.

You could tune in to any channel you wanted, but the ones you weren’t subscribed to would be scrambled. These boxes would unscramble the signal letting you watch paid content for free.

With a USB-C to hdmi adapter or a dock, you can.

I definitely prefer to play on a bigger screen.

I don’t use mine a ton because I have a good gaming PC at home, but when I’m out for a while, I take it with me. It’s taken the place that my Switch and my laptop used to occupy, and I’ve barely touched either of those since I got my Deck.

If you don’t actually offer content you have the copyright for them you shouldn’t be allowed to prevent people from distributing it as abandonware.

That’s what I’m replying to. You have the copyright for everything you create. If you don’t put it up for sale, they’re saying everyone should be allowed to distribute it. That’s kind of fucked.

The current copyright system is absurd, but protecting an artist’s work in the short term is what copyright was meant for originally. 70 years post death is way beyond ridiculous, but something like 5 years from conception makes sense. That way a creator gets a short period to profit off their work while it’s protected, and then it would enter public domain and anyone could do as they wish with it.

Unfortunately it would still allow a situation where someone presents a screenplay to a studio, and gets turned down, and then 5 years later the studio makes a movie from that screenplay and makes a billion dollars without the creator getting anything from it. That’s what copyright is meant to prevent, but it has definitely gotten twisted and corrupted over the years, mostly thanks to Disney.

So literally every doodle you make and anything you write must be available for purchase? Because you have a copyright on ALL that stuff. Copyrights are automatic.

Granted, the copyright system is fucked, but some of the rules exist for good reason, and forcing everyone to release their copyrights if they won’t sell their art is ridiculous. I will certainly agree that the copyright/trademark systems badly need an overhaul.
