I’d say that “alphabet” has no relation to the things on that string.
But yeah, it’s the Unicode Consortium that knows something about it, not Swift.

It peaked somewhere between 2000 and 7. Personally, I place it in XP, but opinions vary.
None of that is “Python”. You want to learn a language and automatically know everything there is to know using Math?
TBF, I don’t even remember why I stopped using the daemon. But it’s currently 3 seconds, so I dislike it… but not so much that I’d prioritize solving the problem versus complaining about it on the internet…
Anyway, I’m adding the server into my DE’s startup. Thanks for the reminder.
The problem is not encoding the result.
The problem is that you need some support from the language to make it easy to deal with. Otherwise you’ll get into go-style infinite if (err != null)
handlers that will make your code unreadable.
It has Evil if that’s your thing :)
I dislike that it takes way too long to boot, but IMO the defaults are just fine.
In C++, ignoring anything that any other language provides…
I mean, yeah, if your language does not support error values, do not use them.
Haskell supports both semantic whitespace and explicit delimiters, and somehow almost everybody that uses the language disagrees with you.
But anyway, for all the problems of YAML, this one isn’t even relevant enough to point out. Even if you agree it’s a problem. (And I agree that the YAML semantic whitespace is horrible.) If YAML was a much better language, it would be worth arguing whether semantic whitespace breaks it or not.
It’s quite easy after you learn engineering-level math. It would still require some paper and patience, but it’s not hard.
Only something around 5% of the people go there, but it’s a matter of going there, not being a genius.
Ouch.
I’ve once decided that “hey, software interaction is logic, so prolog should be the best for complex protocols and UIs!”
Quite soon I understood that no, “complex protocols and UIs” are a problem all by themselves, enabling them makes them worse, and enabling them with prolog makes them even worse.
Up to this day I’m stuck trying to make data quering more “programming-like” than the restrictive thing we have with SQL. I’ve backtracked a few times already after noticing that I just designed prolog again.
But fear not, at some point one of us will finally find that problem domain for what prolog is really suitable. I know of an entire company betting on using it for describing access control rules, maybe they are up to something!
I wonder what “limited lifetime warranty” means.
It probably means you can complain any time about a manufacturing defect, but not anything else.
Anyway, the terms should be printed somewhere on the box or in a paper inside.
I guess you are missing some history here. “The Great” War is not the war you’d think about by hearing that name.
In fact, the name lasted about 15 years, never to be used again.
I have a feeling calling the “The Great” enshitification will age up like that one “The Great” War.
Everybody would use Mercurial, since Fossil completely lost the race, and both Subversion and CVS are unfit for today’s needs.
What is too bad, because Fossil would be much more productive than Git or Mercurial if the software just finished running at all; and Mercurial is way easier to learn than Git.
an immutable distro is not necessarily declarative
It is necessarily so. You can’t configure an immutable distro by a sequence of mutations.
But yes, the other way around is quite possible.
So, you need a unix time value followed by 000?
That first part you can calculate with date +%s -d '2024-07-02 12:00'
.
That’s just sloppiness.
The information that familiarity gives you is “WTF does this field means”, and it’s the only thing that’s actually there. How you get a value and how a value is formatted are things no amount of expertise will save you from having to tell the computer, and thus you can’t just forget about.
(And let me guess, the software recommended install is a docker image?)
Oh, the headless version of the game makes much more sense than a headless link.
But if you launch a headless program underneath your particular user, with which you’re then going to log off, then it will close regardless
Nohup is your friend.
You say some software is “headless” if you can launch it, log-off your computer and it keeps running.
I imagine it’s a link suitable to use with c-url, but I never even noticed it’s there.
Depends on how you define “letter”, but they are definitively not alphabetical. They are ideographs.
