The latest steam survey says 2.08% use Linux.
That’s more than 2%, I bet you feel pretty ridiculous now!

Honestly I’m more disappointed that this isn’t the first time on Lemmy that I’ve seen someone delete a post and then try to make a big scene about how they didn’t like the responses they got and were giving up on a community.
Lemmy has so little content that your complaint post gets to be top of a community for a while, so that’s nice.
You’re not the main character, people are entitled to opinions, and you don’t have to care or take them personally. It’s the internet, there will always be someone who complains even if it’s entirely unwarranted.
This is one of my worries with a growing wealth disparity in the world.
The average person is starting to get priced out of any luxury entertainment because there are wealthy people with unreasonable amounts of money to throw at whatever they feel like.
There will always be rich people who can pay whatever price a company asks for.
Oooh. Thanks for that, makes more sense now.
There’s a reason everyone needs to be vaccinated.
But I don’t expect you to read that because if you wanted to understand reality, you would have already.
What do you use for tiling? I’ve been curious about this setup, but the software setup sounds like a pain compared to 2 monitors.

Edit: from XKCD
It’s not really clear whether the variance scales linearly with weight. We only know 1 data point. It could be bracketed for different weight groups.
Obligatory definitions of fascism #8:
Fascist societies rhetorically cast their enemies as “at the same time too strong and too weak”.
I don’t find it hard to believe that the cost of making AAA games no longer matches the standard game price nowadays, because the typical $60 price hasn’t changed in at least 20 years. Publishers have used a lot of alternatives to recoup that like launch day DLC, deluxe editions, and microtransactions.
I honestly don’t mind deluxe editions with cosmetics for that reason, if someone wants to pay $100 for some extra outfits that’s probably the ideal scenario for everyone.
But I agree that Ubisoft’s insane DRM practices and subscriptions aren’t the right solution to that problem.
That article’s from 2012, before Elon Musk popularity took off, and yet you can already get a foreshadowing sense of Musk off the article:
Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk called Top Gear “completely phony” and his company sued for libel and malicious falsehoods.
I feel like I’m taking crazy pills.
The speed of sound is 343 m/s, 767 mph. This description is Mach 5, 5x the sound barrier.
An F-22 can go 1500 mph.
Apparently the first airplane to break the sound barrier was Bell X-1 in 1947.
I understand OP’s sentiment that google’s getting worse, but this sounds like ragebait. No examples of what they searched for an hour.
What’s a bop? I can’t tell if that’s actual slang or one of the joke ones like WIFI.
That’s probably because Elon’s literally been trying to sell their autopilot as fully autonomous for at least 7 years now.
History of their self-driving claims
May 2016 someone dies using autopilot
November 2016 Tesla publishes video of self-driving with no hands on wheel
Class action lawsuit
More people die
That isn’t the point. The article explains that Virgin intended it to mean they guarantee 30Mbps. But customers would interpret it to mean they have the guaranteed fastest speed.
The distinction is the specific 30Mbps guarantee vs actually being guaranteed fastest of any competitor.
Ooh that’s why it looked so empty with ad-blocker. I was super confused why 90% of the page was just blank white space.

I guess I avoided the worst games this year!
Did Remnant 2 feel more unique than Remnant 1? I tried the 1st and fell off in the 2nd world because it all felt too similar with a handful of enemies and procedural chunks. Reluctant to try the 2nd if it’s got the same lack of variety.
I’d argue against the word “earn” even. One cannot earn one billion dollars at all.
Nobody deserves $1 billion when it would take a teacher about 20,000 years to make the same amount. And it’s not earned if it’s not deserved.
But that’s just semantic ranting, you’re right.
