I’m a fan of Free Beer because it’s beer that can be free as in free Beer and free as in freedom.
This ties into the comment I was going to make separately. For context, my dad recently passed. First father’s day without him. My mom asked to watch a movie that meant something to the both of them because they saw it together in a drive in on release and it was very memorable because the technology and techniques used were fascinating at the time. She complained that it wasn’t on Disney+ or anywhere.
You may have guessed it, but she requested Song of the South. One serious moral quandary later, I got it ready for her to watch.
Tomorrow is gonna be rough, but at least my sailing might bring some good memories for her.

Yeah, it is obvious hyperbole.
I mostly appreciate the pre-installed browser that takes many less steps to harden than a fresh install.
Very fair. I’m a far cry from an advanced user - I know just enough to be dangerous to myself, and didn’t see that. As I said in another comment, though, I do like that the default browser is somewhat hardened and uses a decent searx instance as the default search. It does seem to be marketed towards teenagers, though, unfortunately.
Yeah, I get that. I do, however, really like how FireDragon comes with a lot of the extension I’d like to use, and with searx as the default web search. It also takes almost no time to switch to a much better KDE layout as opposed to the seemingly script kiddie dr4a6onized default.
I didn’t want to do any of that crap either, which is why I installed Garuda. I love the workflow of ocean and may, but have no interest in spending an entire day installing an OS. It has been really good to me.
Can’t, Pacman will eat me.
Proper shoutout here to !unix_surrealism@lemmy.sdf.org
Garuda has been great to me. Changing the universal theme in KDE is a really painless process, too.
KDEnlive is useful for inline video editing, and Davinci Resolve is more of a pro level tool. I have no idea about Vegas.
In most areas, you can’t buy that pitcher by yourself. At best, you have to request 2 glasses and hide in a corner to drink that pitcher by yourself.
Double shots are illegal to serve in a fair number of places, so I am betting that is the case.
I live in GA, where if you order tea it will be defaulted to sweet tea. However, I have never seen a place that doesn’t have unsweet - you just have to order it that way.
I unironically want to see this happen, mostly because it would be an incredible feat. Not only because of the language and compiler restrictions, but the only way that you could take a break would be to play a few games that aren’t very fleshed out or “Listen to God.”
It is closer to the ECU on a car (in more ways than one).
Is noone going to say anything about what’s going on in the terminal?
