As if those Ukranian men aren’t being forced into infantry when conscripted, give me a break. You really think they are given a choice what role they want?

Timezones are kind of a necessary evil though, because without them then you’d have to check regions (or zones) to see if 1PM in China is the same thing as 1PM in Australia is the same thing as 1PM in Bolivia.
I’m more worried that he won’t win the election rather than he will win it. I don’t think the debate changes anything about that, people are likely still going to vote who they were going to vote for. He is the not Trump vote, and it’s just as important as ever if not more important to vote not Trump.
Private companies do the same, often going as far as to have whistleblowers executed. People (and especially organizations) protect their interests, even (or especially) at the expenses of others lives.
Thanks for the advice! I’ll be sure to keep it in mind :)
As someone planning on visiting there in a year or two, do you have any advice?
I think that’s kinda common in a lot of countries. If you look like you aren’t from there then they will speak in English.
As someone planning on going in a year or two, this is really good advice. Thank you.
One of them would have to be Life is Strange 1, it’s a pretty good port and honestly it’s one of my fav games of all time.
Gabe is helping, sure, but he isn’t holding up gaming. People were gaming on Linux before Proton even existed, myself included. Also, even if Valve went away completely, Proton is open-source and there are people like GloriousEggroll who work on Proton entirely as a community member. Proton will live on, specifically because it is open-source. All the progress made on Proton won’t suddenly disappear, all the games that were previously playable on Proton will still be playable on Proton.
It’s a somewhat reasonable fear but it’s not a realistic fear. Proton isn’t going anywhere.
Yeah I use .com for my seedbox.
Have you tried Xfce? Usually it’s pretty damn stable and bug-free in my experience (outside of one time I found a bug which had a perfect workaround anyway) in my past 7 years of using it.
Yeah but that’s not new, that has existed for years even in Merlin firmware. People were saying that this affects Merlin but I’m not seeing any indication of it yet.
Yes I know ASUS is shitty and evil, and it sucks that those features are gated behind abandoning your privacy, but I was saying that part isn’t new, and I don’t think this new stuff affects Merlin yet.
We’ll see how it all plays out, though.
Merlin
That thread isn’t about Merlin firmware?
The symptoms were the internal display went black after an automatic firmware update (you can’t disable firmware updates, they happen automatically) and never came on again, and then external display also went black after working only once. The device would power on, you would hear the fans running, but there was no display and no startup chime.
Mine died 9 months out of warranty, last week they told me over the phone that apparently the firmware got corrupted and they have to reprogram it, and it will cost $120 USD + tax + shipping (+ import fees of course). I haven’t heard anything else yet. I sent it off for RMA back on May 7, so it’s been a little while lol
Yep, we are what make these sites important.
That’s why I’m always interested in self-hosting. I have my own Plex and Jellyfin seedbox server for the private trackers I’m in, with a VPS hosting an OpenVPN to make it look like I’m in a different country, just to make it that much safer. It works damn well.
At my family cottage, we had it for over 40 years before getting portable ACs. Generally we just avoided the heat waves. Cold waterbottles in between your neck and shoulders really helps circulate the cooled blood throughout your body. We ended up getting portable ACs one year because we were spending a week there and it was over 95f every day. A few years later one of us took a paid early retirement package and we used some of that money to get central AC, best upgrade for our cottage ever.
