Get an ir usb receiver like a flirc and just use a normal remote. I think flirc even sells a remote.

Thanks this makes sense. Sounds sketchy as fuck so I’ll just be sticking with torrents lol.
When cfw for ps3 came out you needed either a ti-84 calculator or an iphone to put the firmware on the console. I had an iphone so installed ubuntu on my pc so i could dual boot ios and android on the phone then replace android with the cfw. I never even knew there was anything but windows back then.
My statement was far too broad for it to be “setting a bar of entry”. YouTube is trying to squeeze its viewers for every drop they can without having uploaders and im obviously not talking about the little guy here shoulder any of that cost. Who in your mind is responsible for the cost associated with lets say a Mr Beast video? Is it Mr Beast or is it the viewer? I think it’s both.
Youtube is squeezing one party really hard while pretending the other party doesn’t owe shit to keep their monopoly. Start charging uploaders. If YouTube needs to up what they’re earning because of things like bandwidth cost and what not make uploaders cover some of that cost. They’re a business making money off of the platform so charge them.
Just built a new fancy desktop couldn’t get kodi to play any audio. Looked into alternatives found stremio and god damn is it easy to setup. Plus you can just make an account sign in on other devices and its all setup just like w.e machine you originally used.
I always have issues playing videos on both newpipe and libretube dont know why. Pipepipe works well for me, it’s a fork of newpipe.
Im not surprised. For years we all enjoyed a ton of “free” services but eventually these companies would have to make money.
Problem is youtube is a platform that pays its content creators. It won’t ever happen. If discord ever decides they want to be profitable then that’ll be next.
No it turns the problem from your account being owned by a company looking to turn a profit to random people on the internet. If we had a way of downloading our accounts and transferring instances then maybe.
$10 a month for the rest of my life seems expensive.
