  • Paula’s Choice for liquid or gel exfoliant and sunscreen moisturiser - personally I prefer the ultra sheer SPF 15 as the mineral based one feels rough on my skin. I’ll then top up with a higher SPF face sunscreen if necessary, as it usually is in Australia.

I also use Clinique’s All About Eyes cream, All About Clean 2-in-1 Cleansing + Exfoliating Jelly as my daily scrub, and Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ if I want a moisturiser without sunscreen.

If you try Paula’s Choice, give the routine finder a go to find the right fit for your skin type.

  • Spanish is my second language, and while I know I speak with an accent (try my best to sound andaluz, but there’s no hiding the kiwi sometimes), I can recognise some accents - Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Sevilla, Granada, Madrid are some distinct ones I’m familiar with, hearing non-natives speak fluently with a slight foreign accent, or hearing someone you know as an English speaker break out excellent Spanish is wild. I worked with a Lithuanian woman once who spoke fluent Spanish but kept her Lithuanian accent, even down to the way she would punctuate her sentences, she was terrifying in 3 (or more) languages.

The demolitions are part of a deal brokered last year between Robert Habeck, the Green party’s minister for economy and climate action and Mona Neubaur, who is the economy minister for North Rhine Westphalia, to allow the expansion of the mine.

In return, RWE had to agree to phase out coal in 2030, eight years before the previous deadline. “It’s a good day for climate protection,” Habeck said at the time.

What’s the timeline for getting this expansion built? And what’s the lifecycle of the plant? I understand there are energy scarcity concerns, but how is this the most economical option when it’s ~7 years until they’re supposed to phase out coal?
