Frequently repos say “git clone [repo url]” which i think is enough for most people to copy and paste. I’m a programmer and usually I just click things in my IDE to do git work for me so I’ll agree its not an easy thing to use.
Step 1) Download the LLM with git
Well, fuck we should have known that this requires a masters in computering. Dude these comands are easy, literally copy and paste. The instructions are literally handholding you to run it and thats still to complicated. Also who makes furry porn with a Large Language Model?
In the first episode the discription said it was an adaptation of this rolling stone article in case you weren’t aware.
So, I’m not the person you’re replying too, nor am I a member of this minority group, but I do consider myself an ally. I do not personally know how offensive what was said is so I won’t comment saying “it’s not that bad” or anything of the sort.
But this is a thing I’ve seen in leftest communities where we don’t know when to use the carrot vs when to use the stick. I’ll admit I’ve said things in hindsight I feel awful about. But I’ve corrected that behavior because my friends knowing my good intentions lead me to be a better person. Here and like other similar communites however instead of talking to people in good faith to try to correct their behavior instead choose to punish and ostrisize them.
I don’t know what your admin team’s chat with the programming.dev admin team looks like, but I hope it can be resolved. I’ll be very disapoinyed with my admins if it can’t and will leave in solidarity.
My old man told me he took one programming language in college and it was APL. Having looked at APL since becoming a software dev myself, I can understand why he hated it.
It’s just so gross and hard to read
I’m the kind of guy who will sometomes automate his laziness. I once wrote a simple gui that was basically this meme.
Yeah, theres shit like the battle of blair mountain that everyone should look into.
Hey, my fellow 'Muricans, we actually took up arms here for our right to have a living wage
Didn’t New Worlds turn into a ghost town month after launch?
Oh god damnit. I could have gotten a much better one
Yeah, this might be it. For anyone not aware, every browser on iOS is just safari with a different skin and some plugins to work with whatever ecosystem you actually are trying to use.
Yeah, I bought some JBL sound equipment and those USB-A side cables are reversable too. Just a flap with the connectors on both sides.
I played it a few months ago on my deck. It has default preset that holds an extremely solid (i think) 30 fps from my testing. Whatever the target was it held really well
So if you don’t mind 30 FPS the default is pretty good.
Anyone who has played the game knows what level you’re talking about, and I find myself launching Titanfall 2 every now and then just to play it.
I was recently tasked with the traveling salesman problem on a project. My first pass was quick but produced sloppy inefficient results. Well boss didn’t like it so he had me go back at it again so it would be far more accurate. Well now it slogs through figuring out an optimal solution of several thousand points.
See, it’s this trying to be overly friendly nonsense I hate about JS. If you need semicolons, demand them. Don’t make it seem like you don’t then make your code break because it hudes that you do. My first orogramming job was at large multinational japanese motor company and they had a hard rule over no in house exe’s or opensource software. So the compromise was doing everything in JS. JS refused to listen to me on doing a single threaded for loop, just run the loop, wait a moment, run the next one, wait a moment…
JS, don’t help me, just do as I say
I’m so glad you guys remember that sub. I miss the silly things you guys made.
Hey some of us said we’d go on indefinately and after being told to open decided to maliously comply only. /r/baduibattles a sub I started is now only letting posts be of New reddit or the Reddit app. User involvement has plummeted, there are fewer posts, each with votes and comments. Automod also posts telling people to join us at !bad_ui_battles@programming.dev
Yeah, I’m in the IT dept (companys conatantly flop between throwing software into engineering, IT, or its own dept) and the other day, 5 minutes before I leave for a week long vacation a user comes up and asks if we’re ignoring her.
Outlook is constantly asking for a password to one of the emails she uses. She doesn’t know it and keeps clicking close on the popup. So she sends an email, FROM THE ACCOUNT SHE IS LOGGED OUT OF, to helpdesk a few days earlier.
This is fairly common for tech jobs, asking for more experience than is phisically possible. Theres a whole sub about shit like this on the old site.
