“PC Master Race” is a laughably bad term that should have stayed a one-off joke by a shitty content creator. But tell me one single advantage of a console. You can’t. There is none. Price? PCs are a huge range of prices, some much cheaper than consoles. Game prices? LOL, so much cheaper on PC especially with sales. Flexibility? Damn straight. Fuck trying to play an FPS with gamepads, it’s terrible and always have been. A vast number of games that is far and away beyond every single console of the last ten years, combined? Yep.

PCs are superior. Don’t call them “master race” because of the shit connotations. But they are superior, and consoles should be dead.

You are confusing a network of distinct servers with a single point of entry that a search engine would need to be. There is no fallback or distribution of search when everything is directed to a single search point, and pointing people to different search sites per search will remove any per-site preferences.

“Play all current games” … at $60 or more a pop, with no sales. Meanwhile, wait almost no time and see deep discounts on brand new PC games, negating your “price advantage” bullshit. As well as tons of classic games which are far and away better than new style over substance story over gameplay trash games for cheap or even (legally) free. Plus no monthly XPSBox Plus Live Advantage fee to let you do basic things that are taken for granted on PC.

Can we finally kill off consoles now, please? They haven’t been relevant or necessary for 20 years now. There is nothing you can do with the console that can’t be done with a PC.

When you need a scalable service for tons of users, federated isn’t going to cut it. This is why Apple wants DDG. Point the bajillion crApple lusers at one of your public instances (or even all of them chosen at random each time) and watch it crash and burn overnight. DDG has tons of servers and the infrastructure to hold up while a ton of people search why their luxury device is slowing down every time Apple releases a new one.

I’ve seen 4K and it doesn’t impress me even a little bit. Boo hoo hoo get glasses I know, I have glasses, I can see, 4K is worthless and probably why all of these internet providers want to destroy net neutrality and have tiered connections. At a proper viewing distance, 1080 is more than enough.

Not all games require Steam. Steam DRM exists for companies and individuals to use if they want, but it is in no way mandatory. Look for lists online of non-DRMed Steam games that can be ran completely without Steam.

Everything should allow you to download what you purchased. The fact that the music industry has pushed streaming so goddamn hard is because they’re mad that people can still download MP3s.

And above all of this, let’s not forget that a major negotiating point of the Hollywood strike was getting residuals per stream, something that never existed when people actually had their own media. It’s greed on every single side in that corrupt, hell town and I’m at the point where I don’t even watch TV or movies any more, not only because it all sucks, but because of this bullshit.
