It crawls all instances like twice a day. I haven’t had any issues. You can even set your home Instance so all links open correctly.

Go to the nearest jewelry store and buy everything in it. Wait an hour, return it as per the refund policy. If there is no refund policy then I would sell it off. Even if I lost 50% on the sell back, that’s still half a mil in cash.

Most popular jewelers have at least a 30 day refund policy.

I think it’s more of people wanting to stick with the developers and apps that they have used on reddit. Some of which have been using and supporting for almost a decade. It also means more of an endorsement for Lemmy, as some reddit sync users wouldn’t consider Lemmy otherwise. Lastly, a significant number of power users (those that actually post, comment, and otherwise contribute) use third party apps over the official app, meaning that having support for these apps on Lemmy will hopefully bring over quality users and not just a larger quantity users.

That’s my take on it, and I am someone very pro open source.

Games that I wished were on Android or some console were Card of Darkness, Grindstone, and Bleal Sword.

The first 2 I want on Android as they are more mobile friendly, and the last one I plan to play on my steam deck.

Of course! Whoever runs the server bears the cost. How they pay for it is up to them and the community. Maybe you run your own instance and pay out if pocket. You’d be your own admin and can do whatever you want. Or you join lemmy.ml and maybe donate or sub to patreon, or you don’t pay anything. Maybe in the future some instances might make private deals to pin ads at the top in exchange for payment. It’s up to the server hoster. Right now it’s the wild wild West. If a server gets filled with ads and you don’t like it, you pick up shop and join a different server.

What lemmy/the fediverse really needs is an account migration tool, so that if you want to set up shop elsewhere, you can export all your subscriptions and settings, etc and import it into a new profile on a new instance. That will come with time

I wanted to play this so badly but the apple arcade exclusivity killed it for me. Glad we have other options now
