Skeet? Really? Lil Jon’s “Get Low” came out 22 years ago.
Now if they had said “Skibidi” that would be a different story.

Digital Foundry made a pretty convincing case that it’s running on current switch hardware: https://www.ign.com/articles/was-metroid-prime-4-running-on-switch-2. That being said, a cross-generation release wouldn’t be out of character for Nintendo.
I learned a lot about home maintenance and handiwork from my dad, but then I started looking stuff up and realized he’s been stubbornly doing a lot of projects the wrong way.
Good for you? The post isn’t about people like us playing on PlayStation, it’s about people like my buddies I play with that thought they were good to go with their steam accounts and are now being railroaded a few months later by having to give their data to PSN, who is notorious for not managing said data well.
“It’s in the ToCs”, you might say, which is only highlighting a broader issue where you basically have to wade through pages of legal bullshit to just play a game you bought and not get fucked by the EULA.
You don’t think I’m advocating that we make pesticides and deforestation illegal overnight? That would be like saying anyone opposed to automobile emissions wants people to die from supply chain shutdown.
I’m saying that to have the biggest effect on these we eat much fewer animal products, and those of us who can go vegan to do so. This would also result in us breeding fewer animals, not culling the ones that are alive right now…
Even in the most idyllic ranches/farms, which account for only 1% of US production, animals are still selectively bred in ways that can cause seriously health problems, and they’re killed at a small fraction of their potential lifespan: https://www.farmtransparency.org/kb/food/abattoirs/age-animals-slaughtered.
The issue with open pasture farms is they take up enormous amounts of land that could otherwise be rewilded, resulting in habitat loss and species extinction.
Yeah it’s not the end goal but the results are the same.
Plant compost works just as well, I use it in my garden.
Agribusiness levels far more land for meat, dairy and eggs, about 80% of total agricultural use.

It’s also the leading cause of deforestation in the Amazon. https://greentumble.com/amazon-rainforest-deforestation-facts
Go ahead and rant on pesticides if you want, but I’d recommend looking into the types of crops they’re used on: https://faunalytics.org/pesticides-in-farmed-animal-feed/#:~:text=Many pesticides used to grow, enormous amount of animal feed.
Why exactly do people need to die? We grow enough crops to feed 13 billion people, we just feed a vast amount to livestock.
Weren’t we talking about pigs originally? Considering 99% of meat consumption in the US and 90% worldwide is factory farmed, switching the conversation to hunting seems like a distraction at best.
The reality is that when you consume animal products you’re weighing two things against each other:
Obviously that choice is up to you, and in the absence of alternatives I don’t fault people for doing what’s necessary to survive, but if you have access to vegan alternatives and you still choose animal products, you’re indicating your sense of taste is more valuable than an animal’s life at least.
To the animal, it’s all the same.
True, but there’s still an alarmingly high margin error rate on things like captive bolt guns, stun baths, CO2 gas chambers, etc. And the industry standard practices in factory farms are the stuff of nightmares.
Killing an animal because you like the feel of it: cruel.
Killing an animal because you like the sound of it: fucked up.
Killing an animal because you like the sight of it: psychopath.
Killing an animal because you like the taste of it: normal.
Always tough to read stuff like this, even though it’s important to know. The sheer scope of animal abuse in our society is mind-boggling.
It’s fucked up that it takes this kind of outrage to get animal abuse charges against this guy. Laws exist in nearly every state that can bring felony charges for this kind of thing, but animal abusers are so rarely charged, let alone convicted.
I would highly recommend donating to a specific organization rather than as a “uniform anatomical gift”. Unless you’re fine with being sold by a body broker and used for explosives/crash testing, or forensic entomological decomposition research: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/bodies-donated-to-science-largely-unregulated-cbs-reports/
Maybe not the best idea. According to the article, using this app they can leave notes about you for other members to see. Talking about satanism would probably flag you for even more harassment.
Even brands like log cabin who claim to use “no high fructose corn syrup” are just corn syrup and sugar. There are people who go their entire lives eating pancake syrup and table syrup on their pancakes, and die never having tasted actual maple syrup.
Another great charity evaluator is https://www.givewell.org/. Their mission is to find charities that save or improve lives the most per dollar spent, and their findings are research-backed and evidence-based. 100% of your donation goes to the charity you support. They also evaluate the lowest cost to save a human life, which is currently about $3k-$5k. Their top rated charities are involved in malaria prevention:
I’m sorry you had to experience that and I hope you’re doing well!
I did, and I find myself largely in agreement with the author. I was citing the article and a linked source when I talked about the rare case of people who regretted transitioning. Was there a specific claim I made that the article refuted? Maybe I missed something?
Awesome. I can’t wait to hear you explain why Bernie syphoning away Dem votes and handing Trump a second term would have been great for our country.
