ETA: In case you haven’t already seen it:
I meant the thread you were predicting 😅
Most people only interact with votes; not comments. If the rule is “No downvoting” make it an official rule and stop banning people under the pretense of breaking rule 5.
I think what you are missing is that they’re banning people for breaking Rule 5 that haven’t broken Rule 5.
Nobody is taking issue with them banning people that broke Rule 5.
The info is there. You can tell who it is by using the filters (e.g. logs filtered on me as the user that were modded by beaver: https://lemmy.world/modlog?page=1&modId=7121342&userId=36)
It’s a pain in the ass but it works.
I was too, but in my defense, I was not OP…
I had the original AppleTV back when it really was a “hobby”. It ran a lightly modified OS X (Tiger if I remember right). It was basically the same size as the current Mac Mini and a thinner version and design of the contemporaneous polycarbonate Mac Mini.
Every message I have received on my iPhone from someone not in my contacts has this after that latest message:

What got me was they ruined their own post, and then had to edit it because they were surprised they ruined their own post?
I like that I am their primary customer rather than advertisers as with Google.
I like that their desktop OS is a Unix variant unlike Microsoft’s (although this matters to me less and less over time).
Nice!

No shame in leaving room for third party apps. I don’t really expect the built-ins to be all encompassing…
Definitely Emoji Tapbacks
I have the QNAP TS-462. It’s my first and only NAS so I don’t have any points of comparison for you. Feel free to ask any questions you have and I can try and answer for you.
I do want to point out that the RAM is upgradable, but, unintuitively, only on the smaller 4GB RAM SKU; the 8GB RAM SKU has the memory soldered on.
I learned this the hard way and had to return the first one that arrived, but I currently have the memory maxed out at 16GB.
