This is just a bad windows install. The overlay problem happens if you remove edge/gamebar without preserving webview2. I am curious what system settings do you change in the middle of a game apart from one click shutdown.

I don’t need any gaming integration in windows. I turn on my pc, steam opens on startup and i click play. Nothing in windows gets in my way. I don’t update my drivers unless i am playing a new game on launch day.
Can’t play warzone and siege on linux. Windows gaming just works.
No. I am from asia
I have win11 on my gaming pc and i don’t see any ads. Maybe because i use local account.
My jellyfin server is on windows 11. It is stable for now. The day it crashes i will switch to linux.
I removed my edge browser without deleting webview2. If you use random internet scripts it will remove webview2 which is required by many apps and games. My current windows 11 install have no problems with edge uninstalled the proper way without removing webview2.
This is lemmy linux community, people here won’t accept windows is a great os without the microsoft bloatware.
I am never going to install linux on my gaming pc. It is too much work if you are into multiplayer/live service games. Windows just works if you uninstall all the ms crap.
How many years till adobe apps working perfectly?
Os everyone here on graphene OS or other linux privacy phones? Or you guys only draw the line when it comes to desktop OS?
Whats wrong with windows users. Not every hardware software is available/compatible with linux.
I think he perfectly described the lemmy linux community. Windows is not that bad like the people here says. It just takes some time after installation to uninstall the ms crap you dont want. Windows have the best compatibility with the software and hardware. It is a fact.
I use windows because it combines the best of both worlds. If you set it up correctly you will never think about switching to linux or mac.
No one complains about ios/android requiring a login.
Until you realise it is mostly steam deck and indian govt office pc running linux.
Open source software also works on windows. I use package managers on windows with terminal. I uninstall all the bloat with terminal on windows. Everything just works and is supported better on windows.
No wonder the lack of software support.
So basically linix is a fragmented mess. I will just stick to windows all my games , apps work and i can also uninstall all the microsoft bloat with a single click.
So how are OS updates handled, they are not written into the main OS?
