Ok then I hope all the business accounts, social media reps, uptime reports, customer service hotlines, and advertisers plan to stop using Twitter.

“it appears that the GOP’s leadership may have played themselves into making the right call for the right underlying reasons (the censorship powers), but based on a near total misunderstanding of how the world actually works.”
Stopped clocks and all that.
Tailscale plugin for HA works flawlessly for me.
Nothing outside the LAN. Just Tailscale installed on my Synology NAS, on HomeAssistant and on all my machines.
When Google’s shut down I switched to Feedly. They even imported my Google settings so there was no downtime. I’ve been paying for their Pro version ever since. It’s a really good app!
I would bet a lot of these purchases are people who are hoping to build something for it and cash in on the first wave of adopters. I know a lot of developers that have bought one as a business expense … or “business expense”.
This. This. This. THIS.
But it should drive cars? Operate strike drones? Manage infrastructure like power grids and the water supply? Forecast tsunamis?
Too little too late, Sam.
So much this! None of it is worth our time. The Hollywood capitalism machine has just gotten really good at making people believe that every film or show is going to be the next important cultural touchstone and if you don’t see it you will be left out. But after it goes off the air and people stop talking about it, none of it really mattered. “Fast content” is like “fast fashion” - designed to be disposable and to keep consumers paying for it over and over.
I look forward to the drunk cheeseburger eating.
How is it these laws can get passed but our legislatures can’t do anything that’s actually important for society?
Just wait until one of the clinicians tries to disagree with the AI and they get fired by a hospital administrator who trusts the technology more than the people.
It’s Twitter. No need to adopt his pet name for it.
Same. In the brief window when we still had the API, I deleted every thing I’ve ever posted. Every helpful comment, all the well crafted answers to technical questions. I know they are in the wayback machine somewhere but at least Reddit can’t sell them.
Old cars FTW!
I just wish there was a standard for marking the cables, so you could look at the cable and tell what it was capable of. All the cables and chargers look the same but have wildly different capabilities.
Ticketmaster is truly the bastard spawn of satan and corporate greed, an evil so foul and repugnant that merely speaking its name sends chills through all that hear it and sends children running to hide under their covers.
Hopefully the next one is permanent
I’ll have the chicken then.
I’m definitely interested to see how Apple has approached this and integrated into the experience. But I’m having a hard time being enthusiastic because I’m just so sick of AI bullshit in everything. Maybe this will be different 🤞
