It’s great with navi, its also great at finding businesses, even offline.
Organic has saved my tail a few times in state parks where I didn’t have cell service. I tell everyone I know to install it just in case of emergency.
It can be more up to date, or out of date depending on the area. I pair it with Street Complete, which makes it easy to update info, or notifies you information you could provide.
Its gotten very slow and laggy and crashes often.
In my experience, ever since the layoffs, most google apps have had a negative experience.
Gmail layout shifts when selecting now. Maps crashes or displays the PIP ui by mistake. Too Many extra clicks added to maps as well. It’s more confusing to navigate.

First thing I do is change the default sounds. I wish teams provided some options other than zoom ripoff ringtone

Oh thanks! I switched to Bruno but much of our company still uses Insomnia and I’ve been pushing to get it blacklisted, because of the dark pattern, and the likelihood of tricking staff to upload credentials.
I felt the same however Organic Maps did have many businesses. And with Street Complete I can correct any errors when I visit.
It may simply be my area, but I so recommend organic maps over Osmand for business and POI lookups

Speaking of hard Windows things being easy on Gnome. The Gnome smb and rdp sharing capabilities work simply turning them on.
In Windows it’s a whole mess trying to force it to refresh the network or wait for that diagnostic loading bar while it resets everything for it to sometimes work.

Slow Shutter: Its instant on the Pixel, in fact the Pixel is known for its fast camera. The instant shuttet was a selling piece for the Nexus phones on ICS and the Pixel maintains this speed.
Google’s Service Abandonment: This affects iPhones too, it’s a Google problem not an Android problem. The historical Google Services for Android remain to this day.
Performance: Ive only experienced stutter on social apps, and I’ve seen the iPhone stutter on ReactNative apps as well.
Android apps have an inconsistent look and feel: This is subjective. The only apps I see not on Material You are social apps that try to use their look, or are abandoned and using Holo. Abandoned iPhone apps also look out of place.
However on Samsung this is made worse by the fact that Samsing restyles applications. Some apps may still show Material You instead of OneUI theme.
