Maybe try to detect or feel if the person in front of you is really a nice person or if he’s faking it.
The last HR guy I met was so nice to me and enthusiastic that it was really suspicious. I had met real psychopaths before and I was careful. But in the end, he really wanted to take care of the coworkers, and it took me one whole month to understand this.
I’ve been working for almost 10 companies in 20 years, and I have only found 2 drama free workplaces so far. It’s random and I don’t think there are signs that could show you whether a job is good or bad.
Most HR people are happy when they hire you but it usually means nothing, sorry.
Last but not least, drama free could also mean “we’re gonna fire everybody in a few months,” which makes the choices more difficult to make.
I understood that as “renotec is not safe.” Not the best ad.
a violation by the uploader
Most countries disagree with you. The standard is to sue both people, the one who sends and the one who receives.
Ori 1 & 2. It’s on sale and I’ve never played it before. It’s a great Metroidvania. Also the music is in Bandcamp so I’ll buy that next.
that would limit my own option to make a version of the software and sell it under a more limited license in the future
Nope. As the author you’re free to license your stuff however you want. You can use 10 different licenses for 10 clients if you want. You could write a custom version of your application and give a non-free license to a specific client if you want.
There’s nothing Tanenbaum could do
Tanenbaum doesn’t seem to mind
Today OP was very dumb and showed his ignorance of the concept “I do whatever I fucking want.” Don’t be like OP.
people regretting releasing their work under a permissive license
They’re free to change the licence of future versions. OP also failed at understanding the concept of licences. He’s such a silly moron!
I just can’t. They are European countries and when I try to create an account to buy something, I am informed that I can’t create an account from another country (which should be illegal nowadays but they don’t seem to care).
There are laws to allow someone buying Romanian stuff from France, but they don’t care. I know it’s a niche thing, but if they refuse customers, they can’t complain about piracy.
Why what? They don’t want my money, and I can clone it without harming anyone. Is it theft?
I would ask how it is theft when I’m prevented from buying media from other countries. I can’t buy Romanian movies or Swedish books. It’s illegal for me to give them money. Where is the theft here?
For those who don’t know, “trash vaporwave” is a sub-sub genre made of ASMR sounds of garbage trucks with mallsoft music in the background.
I tried the Picross X demo but didn’t like it. IIRC it was too stressful because of the timer or something.
I may try it again in the future though.
The new Picross Namco Edition. I’m addicted to those, I should get some help.
“Resource forks” IIRC, old stuff. Same for the .DS_Store file.
Oh god, Windows IoT is the real-time version used for robots in the medical industry or serious stuff. This is overkill.
FLAC is supposed to be way smaller: https://hbfs.wordpress.com/2012/02/07/looking-at-flac-compression-ratios/
I use Opus at 192 kbps. It’s overkill but it should be almost perfect and has the size of an MP4.
Says the guy who is afraid to use org-mode.
I tried it a long time ago and found out that they were injecting links to their shitcoins inside the web pages. Like, additional links in some web sites.
I’m still dumbfounded that there was not more protests about it because it should never happen.
Back when Nginx started, Apache was the only alternative and a big pain in the ass. That’s how it became popular.
