Really? With Firefox in a Private browsing window - are you certain?

Here’s mine, with the vault currently locked, but not showing any locked state (point 3):

And for point 1, just unlock the dropdown extension, exit the extension window, then click on the icon again. It will be re-locked when it shouldn’t.

If you’re really not seeing this, would you mind telling me how you fixed it?

There are issues with Firefox private browsing windows that don’t happen in Chrome. Quoting their help article:

    • Your vault will lock every time the browser extension closes, unless you set vault timeout to Never.
    • Unlock with PIN will work only if the Lock with master password on browser restart option is not selected.
    • The badge icon will not update to show vault state (locked or unlocked).

Not huge issues, but definitely annoying on a daily basis.

  • In Edge (and maybe Chrome?), open the menu for any website, then go to Apps > Install this site as an app.

Boom, webpage as standalone program. They appear on your start menu and you can pin them to your taskbar. I do this with all my frequently used tools and it makes things much faster to arrange them all on a screen or get back to them.

Bonus tip: You can use Win+1, Win+2, Win+3, etc to instantly switch to that pinned app on your taskbar.

I don’t really think Trustpilot is a good place to get info, a la Yelp.

Hard disagree on that, I’ve found it invaluable as a tool for assessing the safety of a company. Sure you’re going to get some idiots who simply don’t know how to use the tool and go online to bitch about it, but if you’re seeing a significant number of people making the same complaints about support or having domains withdrawn from them, it certainly makes me suspicious.

Thank you for your reply though, it’s good to hear that some people are having success. My understanding from the reading I’ve done online is that they used to be a lot better but have fallen in quality over the last 2 years.
