Oh man, I loved my Surface Pro 3. I used it as my main device for home and work for years. Not invalidating your experience… I’ve used devices that others thought were great that I thought were garbage.
I make things with computers. Preferably artsy things, but I also like to work on random scripts and pipelines. I like D&D & video games, but don’t always have time to play them. I like pet chicken. I watch soccer, especially NWSL & USWNT, as well as some WSL and whatever happens to be on.

Picked up Sonic All Stars Racing on the Deck, and it’s super fun. Never heard about the game when it came out. It’s basically Mario Kart with Sega characters, but thats… really fun.
Huge eyeroll. There was a writers strike. To make up for all the new content that’s not available, Netflix acquired a bunch of old stuff that may be new to subscribers.
I loved Linux at work when I had a sysadmin. Shit worked great. At home I started using Linux and despite some driver issues, it was mostly good. Then I started working for myself (so no more sysadmin). Some Linux update totally screwed up my computer and I lost a lot of work. It also became too much work to try and configure the apps that I needed to use for work. Switched to windows and it’s been pretty smooth sailing. Still boot up Linux now and again for this or that, but I don’t trust it enough as a daily driver for my needs.
I mean, I use Windows more than Linux, but seeing the news that it’s easier to play games on Linux is great. And from a dev perspective, if I more stuff just works on Linux, fucking fantastic.
It’s on game pass if you have that. I started it and liked it, but got distracted. Been meaning to get back to it.
I feel like this is a weird take. Children will play good games and discard bad games. They may not do research before asking for a game from a beloved brand, but the same is likely true for many adults.
What are the specs? Dimensions, resolution, format… Can it be animated?
I really liked Earthless, which is similar to Cobalt Core but adds grid movement.
Galactic Glitch was pretty fun, too.
ColorSpace is annoyingly challenging, in an addicting sort of way.
I also played a lot of ‘Survivors’ games. Most of them sucked, and surprisingly few worked well on Steam Deck, but Sea of Survivors was fun.
I didn’t try the S21, but I always thought the S8 was a very comfortable phone to hold. It was tall, but narrow, and very thin. I’m not sure I’d go back to that now, but I did like it a lot at the time.
I got the S23 because it was smaller, then returned it and got a bigger phone. I guess I’m one of the people that only thought they wanted a smaller phone.
I actually carried a 7 inch tablet in my pocket before it was cool, bezels and all. This was back on Android 2.3 when people would moan about tablet UIs and say that it’s just a giant phone, to which I would say: Yea, and having a giant phone is awesome.
I’m not that far into it, but I’m enjoying it so far.
Started playing The Lamplighters League after seeing that it’s on game pass. Also still playing Sea of Stars, where I just defeated the Dweller, and now feel betrayed 😭
Just played the Lamplighters League demo and liked it quite a bit. Only bummer is that it does not play well on steam deck, so I will hold off for a while.
This looks amazing. Being able to switch your class at any time seems a bit weird. I wonder why they don’t just have you take control of one of the other characters in your party instead?
Whenever we cross state lines we raise our hands and go “whoop, whoop.” I have no idea when this started, but it brings us joy whenever we’re on a road trip.
Playing Sea of Stars on gamepass, and Baldur’s Gate 3, co-op with my wife. Sea of Stars is pretty fun and kind of relaxing. I want to like BG3 more than I do. Lots of frustrations with the combat, and the waypoint/journaling system.
I know I’m late to respond, but I did check out jagged alliance 3,and it looks awesome. Thanks for the recommendation!
Yea, that sounds like it sucked. Glad it didn’t happen to me.
