Exactly how I ended up on debrid, I don’t know what the hell I’m doing anymore, I don’t mind paying but I got fed up with everything getting fractured and torn apart due to greedy ass licensing, I wouldn’t have even minded the price increases if it was one, maybe two, services but it’s absolutely ridiculous. I remember paying for up faith and family for a month to binge a show I wanted to watch and really started questioning how dumb I’d become. I got my moneys worth (imo) since I canceled after a month but I don’t have any desire to play the subscribe and cancel game either and it’s become pervasive if you just want to watch something. I knew it would get bad but I’d hoped for better, like Netflix and another competitor fighting for distribution supremacy kind of like Steam. That went to compete shit and I was naive af.
I got kids, I’ll get you a sandwich and water while you wait outside but I don’t know them just like I don’t know any other stranger that showed up unannounced, that I would also not let in. If it was just me I have a higher risk tolerance, it’s going to be pretty close to zero when I have others who are dependent on me under my care. Sorry, not sorry.
I would like a web browser and don’t want to lose my password manager
I really appreciate your comment but yes, I use frigate on an HAOS system. It works incredible and I have six of their cameras running along with four others from a different brand. The other four I can manipulate completely via Firefox on HAOS. The Reolink cameras just have no other option than doing the initial setup and advanced configurations from windows. So I keep a lab pc connected to that environment just so if I want to tweek anything like fps, resolution, network settings (IP, gateway, etc) that I’m able to do so. The web interface once enabling the https service on the camera has garbage capabilities compared to my other cameras. It’s not a huge deal, I haven’t had to get into them for advanced settings in a few months but it really annoys me that I can’t do initial configuration and advanced settings from Linux.
I’m trying to figure out what to do with my lab workstation. If I want to mess with the settings of my Reolink cameras windows seems to be the only stable option sadly. I’ve tried their android software and it’s garbage. The web interface is very limited after enabling it in the settings via their software. Wine has not worked well for me. It’s an isolated lan so it’s not a huge deal but I really wish there was a Linux build. I love the hardware and don’t want to replace the physical cameras. Just so stupid they won’t support a Linux client.
This is really neat and I’m just hearing about it after over twenty years of development. I need to try it out, thank you. How do you stay in the know about this kind of stuff? I’m curious about all the cool stuff out there I wouldn’t even know I’m curious to find.
Similarly the small town I grew up in had “the other side of the tracks”
I had a colleague that is legally blind in my second real job. The dude is brilliant (and hilarious) but these things would significantly enable or screw up his productivity. I have always felt fortunate to have had direct butt in seat exposure to the importance of accessibility at such a young age.
Who are you to call anyone or anything a cancer when you’re so obviously ignorant of basic information, the attitude comes across like an old man yelling at clouds.
Even if they were a cancer it’s not like it changes without improvement. Your entire premise is destructive and useless.
I’m so confused because I thought Rose was an amalgamation but you’re speaking of a singular individual in a factual way that makes me wonder how wrong I am. Is there really a Rose from the titanic that aligns with what you’re saying?
I’ve accepted this is my actual hobby
I really enjoyed my Samsung watch. I was able to give it a face that looked like a nice watch. It was round. I could get notifications without taking my phone out of my suit jacket. I still have it and it works with my work iPhone and personal android. I hardly have any use for it now that I work from home though.
My only reference point is that I found out my blind grandpa is on here a few months back. Maybe they are trying to influence behavior that supports that level of software integration for blind visitors and have trouble communicating in a socially acceptable way.
What are you referring to? I have a 2022 Kia and I press the lock button then hold the start button on my key fob to start it. Same sequence to turn it off.
I subscribed to the app my first year with the car mainly because I was able to reimburse it at work. It was nice being able to start remotely no matter how many floors away I was in the winter but since I work from home now I didn’t maintain the subscription anymore.
And then people bitch because That news outlet only reports on decades old advancements. It astounds me that supposed innovation focused people are so short sited and the community just laps up all your shit like a bunch of hogs chasing their last meal. Get a grip and go fuck yourselves, the whole lot of ya.
My generator tests itself once a week, automatically cuts over during an outage, and costs ~$200 a year for scheduled maintenance that I can’t be arsed to do anymore at this stage of my life. Generators don’t have to be a huge headache.
If every home was a battery instead of an armory that would be a really cool redundant storage infrastructure. Likely not financially viable compared to centralized storage but it would be kind of cool if their was no immediate central reliance on power so any interruption in power generation could withstand say 1 week of storage reserves nation wide before outages started trickling off to support say hospitals, heating above 40 degrees, etc. Entirely too complicated I’m sure but just a neat thought I had after reading your comment.
I imagine being at the gallows sucks even if you know why you are standing there
