Maybe they should focus on the tax exempt status of some “churches” that had their fingers too deep into politics this year.
Always remember: the cartels don’t pay tariffs when smuggling drugs.
That was my first thought when they talked about “mass deportations of illegals”. Many areas of the American economy simply rely on cheap labour extracted from those refugees. They work on farms, in production, on construction sites, in logistics, and many other jobs Americans would not touch with a ten foot pole. Having to pay for food harvested only by vetted American Citizens will be a harsh lesson for all those idiots who voted Trump into office because they thought he would make food magically cheaper.
I expect many posts in the “leopards ate my face” category from that group.
Just kick them out of the whole deal. No need to split potatoland into two potatolands.
The problem is that the US no longer has the production facilities and capabilities for so many basic things. How many screws are actually made in the US? How many electronic components, not just processors, but capacitors and resistors? All the ingredients for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry? They basically all come from China.
Don’t worry, they won’t probe long. And whoever accidentally gets caught will be pardoned by Führer Trump.
Dropping house prices won’t help in a state where disaster insurance becomes unaffordable. Not having an insurance is not an option, either.
Seriously good idea. Most of them would still have more population than some of the potato fields with overblown grandeur calling themselves “States”.
So you would have 19 new States from splitting California, and four extra ones to fix long overdue mistakes. Flag designers will get a major headache redesigning the flag with 73 stars…
While they hate welfare spending, I bet they like farming subsidies a lot. They might be in for a surprise.
Good riddance. Now let them struggle with import/export procedures with the USA, and sudden absence of farming subsidies.
If they can set precedences with some churches, it will be easier to go after the rest.
Could be. Key fobs use button cells.
Are those churches tax-exempt? Well, if they do this, they shouldn’t. Time for the IRS to earn some tax dollars!
Normal AA or AAA battery, or a CR<something> button? If it is a button cell, try wiping it with alcohol before you insert it. Many modern button cells have a coating that tastes horrible to prevent people (children) from taking them into the mouth. I’ve noticed that on some brands, this coating measurably increases the resistance of the cell, not only reducing the the power it can deliver, but als making it appear “emptier” than they are ofor the measuring circuits. Wiping off the coating with alcohol (90% isopropanol) expanded the cells’ life (in a kitchen scale to boot!) significantly.
That’s how I got a free netbook. The netbook had 32GB flash with windows and office occupying 27+GB. Then windows wanted to do an update - with an 8+GB file. Spot the problem. And windows can get quite annoying with updates. As the netbook could not be expanded, and attempts to redirect the update to a USB stick did not work, a newer netbook was bought, and I got the old one. Linux plus libreoffice plus a bunch of extras happily sat in 4GB…
Don’t worry, the money is not gone. It is just with someone else, probably one of the billionaires.
Well, as long as only their terminally stupid follow these ideas, well, let them.
