It’s a lot of processed bread / carb products and very little protein.

Yeah because the US is the ally of my country. Geopolitically if you’re from a BRICS nation it’s not a concern. NATO and 5 eyes nations aren’t supportive of an ambitious China expanding influence and territory.
It is just common sense. Nations never do things for just one reason. Possession is 9/10ths of the law - if they fill Antarctica with their facilities they can later claim they have so many facilities they should just govern Antarctica. Not a bad strategic move in times of global warming.
My question is: What’s in giving these interviews and making these statements for him? He’s exited the role, he’s made himself clear about the stance he took when he was in the role. Why continue to talk?
When I leave a job and go somewhere new I’m not obsessed with dragging my old workplace.
Fuck these guys for real. I had just set up a raspberry pi and nfc tags. I’m not buying their shitty ecosystem even harder now.
Same in Memmy I’m glad everyone else is noticing this. Also I can’t set favourite communities anymore in the sidebar?
In Canada - It used to be on the Nosey Chanel of Plex’s free live TV platform. Not sure if they still run episodes of it.
Here is a good comparison calculator so OP can figure it out.
I would disagree with renting a car.
Get a JR Pass instead - it lets you ride the bullet train unlimited for a specific period of time. This is a steep discount over buying tickets in the country. You need to get this mailed to your house in the US while you are outside of Japan, before you travel. They mail you a voucher and you bring this and pick up your pass at the airport (Japan is big on physical paperwork). Don’t forget to get an eki ben when you ride - it’s part of the experience.
The Ghibli Museum may still be closed to tourists so if you want to do that verify before you go. If it is open to tourists again, you also need to buy your tickets to that from outside Japan, have voucher mailed to home, and pick up as well from JR iirc.
Look into booking TeamLab Borderless (Tokyo) ahead of time, Kabuki is fun, sumo is fun (depending on when you go there may or may not be a basho going on & the city switches), and then just wander around and enjoy temples, sights, and food!!!
Oh yeah also get a suica card ahead of time and you can install it on your phone to tap in the subway and also pay for snacks at Family Mart if I recall correctly.
The r/Canada subreddit was taken over by far right wing mods and astroturfed to all hell with Conservative nonsense and Convoy support. I found myself speaking up more and more there because it was full of homophobic, racist antivaxxers and that is not an exaggeration.
This feels like it was written by someone who has never been on Lemmy because that has not been my experience at all.
Reddit is fucking full of bots astroturfing right wing political nonsense and we’re not getting that on Lemmy because those instances are often defederated.
Or, you know, he’s one of those guys who signed up for world when he should have gone to exploding heads.
I had a hard time in another thread just convincing people that the subject of UAPs is worth any inquiry at all.
I am just chiming in because I feel that people who dismiss the topic in general will see this headline and say see nothing to see here case closed people who investigate this are crazy.
Whereas the phenomena is still very much present and should be investigated - for national security and aviation safety reasons at the very least.
The thing we aren’t exploring or talking about in mainstream discourse is that UAPs might be terrestrial and non-human.
Yeah I’m on the other side of that… as a PTA fan I didn’t feel it was his best.
Yes and I would also add thigh circumference and calf circumference. I have larger thighs and calves, which is not always in line with hip circumference. For example, hips can fit but not calves in straight legged pants for me.
Thanks for the recommendation! Getting it now!
I’m a Reddit refugee who met my future husband on Reddit 13 years ago. It feels weird to be leaving.
A large scale conflict like that would have economic and security implications for the rest of the world. Nothing exists in isolation.
