I like cake.
Feedbro, it’s a browser extension.
I‘m using a RSS reader with rule based filters to remove uninteresting articles (to me) and upvote or downvote articles with certain keywords (for me). That way I can aggregate lots of media and have my own personal feed.
It takes some time to set up and fine-tune, though.
Do you believe that to be an insult? Israel and Palestine should both have the right to their own independent state. That’s consensus among almost all members of the UN.
Teen girls and tourists at a musical festival are not Nazi guards from a concentration camp. You forgot that little detail in your speech. I’m pretty certain most of the massacre victims never killed anyone. What you’re suggesting is tribal guilt by association.
I took a stance against you people cheering for massacres. If you think that this is showing a lack of basic human compassion then all irony is lost on you.
Nobody of us was there. Luckily. You honestly believe that Hamas indeed invaded Israel with the intent to take hostages and “get rid of the oppressors” (like they announced before they invaded) but somehow Israel itself was faster to murder off its own civilians? That’s mental.
Do I have issues with taking civilian hostages? Of course! But that objective is diametrically opposed to going on a mass murder spree.
Let’s talk about sick reasoning then. Do you think the 3,000 rockets (Hamas claims it was 5,000) they shot at Israel on that single day were meant to take hostages, too? Certainly not. Hamas has been, and still is, claiming responsibility for deadly rocket and suicide attacks on an almost weekly basis. Mass murder is evidentially not beneath them. I doubt they would suddenly change their strategy when face to face with people they think of as oppressors. It’s also not hard to imagine a sick reasoning behind it: “Fill up the car, kill the rest.”
As I’ve already said below: Thousands of murders from one side don’t make hundreds of murders from the other side rightful. If you think that massacres are an okay tool to use in some circumstances then there is something deeply wrong with your morals.
The iof murdered hundreds of israelis on October 7th by dropping bombs and firing tanks on them. There is literally footage of this you can watch and see for yourself.
Citation needed. Sounds like a conspiracy theory.
Why the fuck would people […]
Religious fundamentalism.
Fucking zionist.
Massacres are wrong. Period. Stating that doesn’t make me a Zionist. Thousands of murders from one side don’t make hundreds of murders from the other side rightful. Massacres are never the right tool for any cause.
Sidenote: Downvoting a comment that doesn’t agree with you and upvoting your own response seems like bad etiquette. You do know that all upvotes and downvotes in the fediverse are public, don’t you?
Yes, yes, all the Israeli and foreign tourist teens who were raped and murdered on that day obviously were the real oppressors. It was about time someone „fought back“ against those partying teens in particular… that is what you’re implying.
How about we stop cheering for rape and murder for a moment? Just because Israel is overstepping hard doesn’t mean Hamas terror attack was rightful.
Nobody was arrested for supporting Palestine. Not a single person. Some specific people within the protests were temporary arrested for calling to murder Jews. That’s an important difference. Calling to murder someone is a crime in Germany. They will maybe have to pay a fine.
Immigration policy was not changed to align with European fascists. The fascists want to stop immigration and deport all migrants and their descendants. Immigration under Green party policy is not only possible but wanted (and needed).
Ukraine is not run by Neo-Nazis. I’d suggest you to stop watching so much Russian propaganda.
Nobody is arrested for protesting against Israel or genocide in Germany. That’s a blatant lie. Some people are being arrested temporary for demanding to murder all Jews. There is a clear difference: There are thousands of people protesting peacefully against Israel’s war - only a few of them are overstepping hard while doing so. Stopping these people according with the state of law is called nuance.
Don’t commit crimes in Germany (call for murder) and nobody will arrest you.
You are delusional to a point where its impossible to respond in good faith to such nonsense.
The „ban on pasta“ (lifted in 2010) was not about pasta but about all imports. It’s weird to single out pasta. After Hamas took over Gaza Egypt and Israel closed all borders, arguing that trading with terrorists would be recognition of their illegal rule over lands that belong to Palestine. Soon after exceptions for fuel, food, medicine, household items etc. were made in multiple steps (including Pasta).
The EU doesn’t use food and medicine as a weapon. Even Russia is still getting all the food and medicine they want to import.
The fact that many western weapons seem to go missing before they reach the front and the coincidence of the Azerbaijan getting a pile of muntions just after deliveries to Ukraine may indicate that the aims of the Ukraine govt may not totally align with those of western europe.
Or it might indicate that you‘re somewhat gullible and consume too much propaganda.
that my hobbies are collecting retro video games, watching 80s-early 2000s anime, and the like
I can promise you that you’re not the only human in your area that is interested in these things. Sounds almost main-stream to be honest. You do need to find a place where you can share your hobbies with others (conventions, gaming groups, fan clubs). Without meeting humans there is little chance to meet interesting humans (serendipity). I‘m not only talking about finding „the girlfriend“, but also friends in general.
Should I just give up? At times I feel like life and everything that comes with it is pointless, that it’s not even worth it.
Certainly not. You already realized that you want to change your situation; that’s a good first step already. Now talk to new people. It doesn’t matter where or who. Look for hobby meetups in your area and go there. You can also learn new hobbies. Join a choir or cake connoisseur championship for all I care; just don’t do it alone if you’re feeling low currently. We as a species are social beings and need social contacts. There are groups and clubs for everything.
Violence, by definition, is an unjustified use of force. If a use of force is justified then it isn’t violence.
You’re right, but just to be clear: That is an English differentiation that doesn’t exist in many other languages.

On the server-side PHP is used by 76.8% of all websites (a large chunk of that being WordPress). It is not going anywhere, soon. Looking at this statistics, nothing else seems to be even in the same league from a pure usage point of view.
I have yet to see a reason why it should change. Serious question: What is the disadvantage of using the tried and tested PHP8 compared to the alternatives, if you already know PHP?
This is Bard. But Google Search also added AI to their searches, too.
Last time I checked it was in A/B testing and it was bad. The result previews sometimes show you what you are searching for, not what is actually there (wrong names, wrong dates, etc.).
He drove me back into using RSS after more than a decade for staying up to date. Much better for the mental health. Thankfully, since Wordpress and also some other CMS have the RSS feature enabled by default, many websites have it even if they’re not advertising it.
