That sounds amazing actually. And a good challenge, I’ll give it a go when I get my computer back next week.

I used Ubuntu for about a decade and I still use a Linux system via SSH to run code, so I’d like the challenge. I just wanted to know if it’s worth the work or just a meme, thanks!
I’ve spent over a decade in Ubuntu and using ssh terminals to run code, but I’m looking for big boy Linux. I think I’ll try it out.
I’m thinking of using my second SSD to install Linux, is Arch actually good or just a meme?
Yup, I know what I’m doing, but someone else might have just assumed it was required. I was up and running for a week before a reboot sent me to the smiling windows install screen.
I found it’s a pretty simple “don’t ask to finish installing” switch in the settings, but escaping the install screen was the hard part. I think I had to do a hard power down and force safe mode to access the settings again.
I just reinstalled Windows 11 and holy shit was it hard to setup without a Microsoft account. Like they even use a fake boot up screen weeks later to “finish the install” to trick you into making an account. This can be deactivated, but it is still super shady.
There’s one account there, XxXJongGonnaWunXxX69
It’s used in medicine, meta materials, and physics everyday.
Push and hold the left and right top buttons to put it in maintenance mode. You can do everything normally, but no sound.
Equal Rites was great! I think that was my first introduction to Granny but I wished there was a sequel.
I am on 12 of 42 or however many he wrote, but damn it if his little quips aren’t masteries of word play. So far Sorcery, Wyrd Sisters, and Mort are my favorites.
I tell people it’s like living in a Monty Python universe with a dash of magic.
RIP to your brother as well, I have a forever 36 brother due to meth.
Glad we can bond over these printers though!
Slay The Spire for replay value and Rocket League for “pvp” itch.

Of all the OSes I’ve tried to get into, FreeBSD is the worst by a longshot. I didn’t even get it up and running because the community was so fucking toxic. Yes, I read the fucking manpages, no the thing I’m trying to do wasn’t covered or was unclear. Oh my God, alright, nevermind.
God, I hated that game. No days off, because I have to fucking feed my dinosaurs, that up until I caught them, knew exactly how to find food.
As someone who recently installed it, it took all of 20 hours to realize there’s either no or minimal MMR and I said fuck this.
Like making it impossible to just “play all songs” of a given artist. Seems like it would be simple.
I think a lot of parents don’t want to talk about what their children will encounter. Grooming, NSFW content, bullying, and misinformation.
Parents of the current generation usually had unrestricted Internet access if we had it at all, because our parents were Internet ignorant, on average. We can share those lessons.
I only use Discord with a VPN on… I’ve never seen this message.
