It’s not that they can’t still be profit driven, it’s that they can’t be sued by investors for not being ruthlessly profit driven. Private just means that they have the choice at all

Ah yes, how greedy of a company, to checks notes stop you from telling their online distribution service that you own something you don’t.
Pirate all you want, live how you want. But valve is a company, they do sorta have to follow those pesky laws and regulations.
Read “Nationalism” as “your comment is inconvenient to the tankie narrative”
It’s not a job description, it’s a skillset. Any public face would want it.
Op sounds less surprised more disappointed.
The steam deck isn’t really meant to replace your home consoles. I personally use mine when I travel or know it’ll be slow at work, or when I just can’t be assed to get out of bed.
the Malvinas were colonized for resources
What resources do the Falklands have exactly? Fucking fish?
It was a convenient and well situated naval base historically, and now is perfectly able to declare independence if the population so wishes -the falklands just, shockingly, overall benefit from being a part of a larger and richer national entity.
Essequibo was disputed in colonial times, with the dispute being settled by an international tribunal. First it was about gold, now it’s about oil.
The epic games store user experience is awful. Exclusives are awful. I have zero reason to ever use it except for if I’d been taking advantage of the countless free games they’ve been giving away.
Steam offers a service, hosting downloads and all the backend for friends/multiplayer connectivity/etc isn’t free. If you’re big enough to not need that(minecraft), good for you! Otherwise, it’s clearly difficult to make a launcher/game platform that doesn’t suck ass(uplay/origin/etc) - sorry that steam is just better than any alternative right now.
We’re just ignoring that a key part of taiwanese defense planning is self destructing the chip plants in the event of an invasion?
If there’s one thing to take from this, it’s that the toxicity just needs to be directed at those actually responsible. Not the devs, but at corporate forcing the game to release early.
america bad
Hmm there are some reasonable points here…
china good
Ah it’s just propaganda or sheer ignorance okay
So we glass the governor’s private residence and finish what reconstruction failed to do a century ago. The armed and “well regulated” militia is on the highest copium possible thinking an ar-15 is anything the government fears.
Some, not most. Propaganda and advertising are one sided conversations - you either see through the bullshit, or you find yourself agreeing with it.
Effective and rational persuasion involves a back and forth conversation, which is far too time consuming for practically anyone to bother with these days. Since everyone has to have an opinion on everything, they’ll usually find someone saying what sounds right to them and recite the same talking points. When you’re engaging in that sort of persuasion, you don’t really need to worry about giant holes in your arguments.
Something something you are the product.
I give to my local shelter, spreads out the aid while being less likely to be spent on drugs(so long as your shelter is trustworthy)
Right, tell me more about how trump would’ve been better…
Just in case you’re not aware, you can hop into camp at literally any time, you only consume supplies when taking a rest.
Certain departments specifically have IQ tests, in order to ensure you aren’t smart enough to easily get a better job elsewhere.
Sorry that the developers don’t cater to making life easier for people that haven’t bought their game lmao what an entitled take
