Getting an empty list in such a short time, an amazing technique!
Getting an empty list in such a short time, an amazing technique!
In the article it says that that’s a one-time verification address. Though that leaves the question if/how long it’s stored
that EU users will be confronted with a list of default browsers before they have the opportunity to understand the options available to them
What is this even supposed to mean? All other browsers are pre-installed alongside safari? It’s hard for users to choose a browser because they’re able to use others as well?
Unless they literally meant “that is so shaped”, I could also imagine replacing the “so”, like, " is friend shaped"
Though thinking about it, I haven’t seen anything other than “friend shaped” so that’s probably not it.
Why would everything posted in this comment section have to do with the post, especially if it’s a response to another comment instead of directly to the post?
Thanks, I think this was removed some time ago from what U remember reading. I’ll have to check that again though.
(I should really check my accounts inbox more often ^^')
How does the UI size work out for you? I recently took a look at it on a windows pc and the tiny size of most things is the one problem I have with it. Then again, I read something about being able to scale different programs individually somewhere (not for windows though)
I was about to say that I’d prefer alien overlords but based on Superman’s origin, he’s got my vote
Hello, it’s me, the one deleting their comment :))
I thought I’d be able to reply to that other comment of yours but it didn’t seem to work so I’ll just paste it here:
Oh interesting, I pretty much instantly deleted my comment again because I remembered seeing that the shorts thing in the enhancer was only experimental and assumed it didn’t work well yet.
Can’t find this comment of yours in the thread now but I can reply from the inbox :))

Just seeing urban dictionary in the link makes me worry
Edit: Welp, I actually recognize this. And now this will stay in my mind in a funeral-potatoes-context
What’s that?
For a moment I was worried that “funeral potatoes” was some euphemism for something there that I couldn’t identify
I’ve seen some people talking about how the lemmy developers are planning for the ability to “group” communities (of the same name or something like that) on different instances together.
I’m taking this as those communities then forming one community that doesn’t have to rely on a single instance’s community to “survive”.
Haven’t put too much thought into this but I think that would at least lessen that problem, especially for new niche subjects popping up. The difficulty for existing niche communities starting anew here will probably remain but I’m hopeful for the future.
I don’t think they’d expected you to mean reddit made it all up. I didn’t either, but with what’s been happening I wouldn’t be as surprised anymore…
I don’t think you have to worry about that since user’s data should be stored on the instance they registered on, which means that data should only be stored on those servers (I don’t think that kind of data would be federated, correct me if I’m wrong).
So unless someone were to restart those servers with the same domain name and the data intact, it shouldn’t happen.
Why not?
