It’s been too many years since I’ve dabbled in code licensing so I’m a bit in the dark as to what this implies, but if this results in a Linux fork that’s capable of running Winamp plugins…

I just wish it had a better name. Anything You just makes my brain feel like it hiccup’d trying to reread the sentence parsing it a second time as a name.
format? Why yes I’d want a properly formatted drive let me just run that.
I’m curious, the current flash drive you are using… does it allow paging files? I would figure flash media would be marked portable to the OS and not allow page files to be used.
What? I didn’t have to subscribe to anything. Are you not choosing Open-Meteo?
I guess I’ll keep this in the back of my mind, but I already migrated over to QuickWeather when Geometric Weather went unsupported. It stinks that I can’t swipe between locations anymore, but the built-in radar and higher information density outweigh switching back for me.
I can sympathize, but moments like that are good to test backup solutions. I replace the drive, pretend the first one died, and see how hard it is to start over. Turns out I’m not very good at backups and always miss stuff. :(
The end result is a bug fixed and some lessons learned.

Every annoying thing ever invented is embedded in every single fandom page. Ads, twitch streams, ads, personality polls, ads, content gating behind login, ads, sidebars, ads, popups, ads, “share with facebook”, ads, “Tweets from thisguy”, ads, “Check us out on tiktok”, ads, ads, ads and some more ads…
I think the only four I have set to block are reddit, twitter, facebook’s products and fandom. A shame those are always the top 10 results from any search.
I’m going to need a source on both those claims to better understand how they can happen.
For an ISP to mitm, they’d need to sign and send the website certs themselves, and that’d show up in most browsers as a big red flag.
As far as Facebook goes, I was sure that’s just javascript and tracking cookies that they’re paying websites to use. No mitm there.
Maybe I’m just not getting it, but if we’ve mostly transitioned to HTTPS and encrypted DNS… what exactly can the ISP learn other than the address they serve and MAC of your gateway? Is this report for those who use their ISP’s DNS?
Ah, I didn’t see that because I haven’t generated types for TV Shows yet. Only movies.
Thank you for the ongoing support!
I can’t say I’ve ever seen any showstoppers for the jellyfin Roku client, but I will say it seems rather inconsistent when using the media options menu after selecting a movie. Sometimes choosing a different video reverts to the default top choice when you hit play. Sometimes the audio selections don’t match up with the chosen video but rather a different video option, meaning any choice is the wrong choice. At one point I even got the client to say that AAC Stereo was both the chosen Video and Audio. It’s really hard to describe and never enough a nuisance to wade through the process of opening an issue.
Does discovery mode not have a timer? Feels like that should be the default mode… turn it on, you have x amount of time to find and pair before it turns back off.
Can’t say I have any interesting stories. Most of mine are just the head-scratching “I don’t know why that didn’t work; guess I need to reinstall” kind of story. Like enabling encrypted LVM on install and suddenly nothing is visible to UEFI. Or trying to switch desktop environments using tasksel and now I have a blank screen on next reboot. That lame kind of stuff.
My coworker though… he was mindlessly copy/pasting commands and did the classic rm -rf $UNSETVARIABLE while in / and nuked months of migrated data on his newly built system. He hadn’t even set up backups yet. Management was upset but lenient.
It didn’t help that when they enabled USB boot for RPis, the first thing everybody did was connect cheap USB flash drives that corrupted even faster.
I find it pretty easy to use when building my 3d print adapters, brackets, containers and very simple objects. But if, like me, spaghetti code is your natural language… OpenSCAD does you no favors.
Any of them compatible with Winamp plugins? Because that’s my reason for sticking to the past.
