Yeah, it’s annoying to talk to some self described communists. There was one guy who said consumer cooperatives were capitalist despite the fact that they are communally owned, don’t allow for capital accumulation, and are literally a form of organization Marx endorsed, but the guy I was arguing told me I needed to do more reading. Consumer cooperatives are a little more on the Anarchist side close to worker cooperatives, but they are most definitely socialist.
It’s funny. I work with a bunch of righteimg guys a an energy cooperative which is pretty much light communism as it is collectively owned by the consumers without the ability for capital accumulation.
There are extensions that will download any media you want as long as it is in the source. There’s a double left click to save an image one that is very useful.
pipewire is certainly much better than pulseaudio tho.
This is why I prefer Epson Ecotank printers.
Crafts projects, often papercraft, handouts for presentations, custom stickers, often shipping labels, etc
This. Ecotank printers are great and even let you print non-standard inks like photo-resist.
Well their Ecotank printers are pretty popular and in every Walmart.
Here’s some overtime graphs up to 2020:

It was completely relevant to the discussion. That’s not a whataboutism.
What is toxic in solar panels? While I’d love it if they would actually recycle the silver, copper, and 99.99% pure silicon, most of the time it ends up the same place the fiberglass turbines do: ground into industrial sand for concrete. Also the aluminum is already recycled anyway. There are several recyclers for solar panels popping up as the scale of solar increases to better take advantage of the materials, but they are already fully recycled Also coal plants are shutting down and being edged out by natural gas anyway. I don’t know what sources you are using, but they are either out of date or wrong.
Honestly, I think the only interesting micro kernel right now is Redox OS.
Logic only proves something based on the starting axioms. People more often than not think based on a logical framework, but often with axioms and heuristics that differ from our own usually based on who and what they trust, what benefit they’d like and how much for they need to use to get it, and who they see as their ingroup and outgroup. People often think in terms of these kinds of relationships to maximize internal goals and benefits and minimize loss and repulsion.
As much as I would love if everyone could be on the same page and do their own thing, people’s desires naturally conflict especially when there is scarcity or someone feels backed into a corner.
This is why I advocate for worker and consumer cooperatives.
That previous experience, efficiency, and effectiveness in carrying out the labor is the skill.
The depends on the material and the recycler. Metals, glass, organic waste, paper, and car battery recycling is pretty good. South Korea, and several European nations have really efficient recycling programs. Even some plastics like PET are easy to recycle. The issue is that a lot of plastics make it very difficult to recycle especially if they are embedded into another material or are specialized for their usecase and most places have trash recycling programs pun intended.
You must wash your hands often.
