Google isn’t an ISP when it comes to youtube. Yes, they are an ISP in the context of Google fiber but this is completely different. It would be a violation of net neutrality if they slowed certain sites to fiber users.

The vast majority of content uploaded is never going to make them any money. They get free content but hosting it is incredibly expensive.

There’s still an enormous amount of great content on youtube. You don’t need to watch the commercial shit.

I used some dating apps on and off for about 4 years and got probably a couple dozen or so genuine not bot matches. Most of which didn’t last for more than a message or two. Even ran my profile by some of my women friends who I trust and they said it looked good. While obviously it works for some people, the experience for most people isn’t that great. These apps make their money by keeping people on the platform so getting matches goes against their main profit motive. The traditional methods work a lot better.

DACs in phones these days are totally fine these days. There really isn’t any need for an external one unless you need to drive higher impedance cans. Quality-wise, they’re totally fine.

Honestly would much rather recommend Fabric unless you’re looking to host a large scale public server. Serverside optimization mods like Lithium and Starlight are great and preserve the vanilla gameplay unlike Paper which breaks or disables a lot of mechanics by default.

Yes, I am getting tired. You consistently argue against the pretty inoffensive and commonly understood arguments I have made with completely irrelevant points. I’m not arguing about the pros and cons of Google’s influence, I’m saying that the reality is that youtube has enabled a huge amount of people to monetize their video creation and build an audience in a way that other competitors haven’t caught up with. If you’re arguing that the landscape for video creation and publishing on the internet is the same as it was before youtube rose to prevalence, then you’re just dead wrong. Sorry.

Also, you do understand that youtube was more successful than vimeo before google’s acquisition, right? Their success is kind of the whole reason google backed them.
