And if it annoys you enough it’s one line in your config to fix forever. I love i3 so much.
I had like 2 issues that took literal minutes to fix over the years I ran Manjaro, I know there were some silly misconfigurations years ago but I never paid much attention then the hate and it ran all my stuff just fine. 🤷♂️
Built a new rig a few weeks ago and decided to check out EndeavorOS, but would have stuck with that Manjaro install for a while if I hadn’t.
They used to make us learn this in Basic Training for the Navy. It looked absolutely ridiculous and I loved it.
Yeah pretty sure I installed the experimental branch from the AUR. I just didn’t want the repo to be poisoned or something. 🤷♂️
Thanks for the info!
I’m planning to just Google my way out of this, but what’s the cleanest way to block the repo I’ve been using in yay from updates without uninstalling the version I’ve got running already?
I guess it cuts the attack surface profile down a bit?
My groups new obsession is Vintage Story. Set up a server and we’ve collectively put in hundreds of hours over the last few months.
Help.
What a great list!
I played it when it came out, and I still think about those characters sometimes.
I keep meaning to set up timemachine but just roll the dice every few weeks. I think it bit me once and it was only for the weirdo wifi driver I needed and installed the lazy way.
The blog is probably smart to check if you see anything weird in pamac but otherwise I’ve either been very lucky or things have been pretty stable.
Yo dawg got this minigun Prius mount handy? For a friend.
I went into it after two years of morbid curiosity with zero expectations except maybe thinking it was going to be pretty low quality. I’ve put 20ish hours in since Friday and that’s only because I had stuff to do all weekend. Three friends have already hit level 25 after seeing me play it on our Discord.
It’s far from perfect, but I’m impressed and having fun.
There’s aquatic pals too for fast swimming and multiple types of glider pals focusing on stuff like hovering or speedy forward movement. It’s pretty ok. 😁
They’ve been in development like 3 years now, I wouldn’t call it a cash grab.
Evochron, Dark Star One,X series (you may bounce off a few times but they’re extremely unique and deep games), older Elite titles, Freelancer!
To a lesser extent and a bit more survival crafty: Space Engineers or Empyrion with mods. Both have some additional community made content that adds stations/factions to progress against or for and are pretty good if a little janky.
It’s the pause in the flow of things to go get one and put it on plus difficulty finding the right size. Used em my entire life until my wife had an IUD put in. After a few ears she had it removed and going back to condoms was not super fun for either of us.
On the bright side for me, a vasectomy solved all these issues and was totally worth the minimal process to get it. This solution sounds like a dream honestly.
It really depends on what you want from your game. I happily spent hours in my lil hauler playing space trucker, and the only real thing that’s changed since then is I have access to bigger space trucks. I’ve been on a big exploration run for the last 80 or so hours of playtime and I’m enjoying being able to just relax and exist in my lil virtual spaceship. I don’t need to feel like a number goes up every session, but I’m a weirdo.
My buddies and I have been enjoying VintageStory for a while now.
I’ve been 100% Linux for almost 8 years now and a fairly heavy gamer. There’s a handful of games with online anticheat stuff that devs refuse to make compatible, but beyond that it’s almost always click install and play in Steam even for stuff that isn’t “compatible”.
