Freedom means you can cancel a subscription based on any arbitrary decision you chose. We should buy things based on our freedom to choose, if that means you chose based on quality that’s great and makes sense. If you choose for any reason other than quality, that’s great it’s your money.

I switched to mint 2ish months ago and a friend of mine switched to fedora at the same time. Both new from windows, I have had no issues with mint but he has now switched to Debian cause he was having issues getting discord to work properly.

OOTB experience with mint is it works, it kinda feels like cheating having a distro that works easily without tinkering. Like I don’t feel like a real Linux user haha, but I would 100% recommend it.

For USPS they have a list of verified hemp vendors, they tried a couple years ago to open packages suspected of marijuana without a warrant. Now UPS and FedEx are private companies so they can do pretty much whatever they want, that’s why almost all hemp shipments go through USPS. I’m paraphrasing a lot but that’s the gist of it. USPS is currently and has been the largest drug dealer in the country, even with omitting hemp because with the volume they process you could never catch them all and every other drug doesn’t have a pungent smell like weed.

As communities grow from obscurity to populated change is inevitable. I used to use reddit and the #1 thing I hated was the condescending, holier than thou attitude that was rampant. I have seen it occasionally on here but for the most part Lemmy is a breath of fresh air, so I personally don’t think reddit culture has replaced it. I can definitely see a strong cultural influence from reddit but I personally think Lemmy culture is significantly different, in a good way.
