It’s not a shift away from corporate bullshit: the same people that were arguing that changing something is bad because the climate isn’t changing now are arguing that changing something is bad because it’s too late and let’s ride into the sunset giving trillions to oil companies.
It’s because when they become big the people on the board become less tech oriented and more business oriented, that means no vision other than next quarter numbers…

Because software isn’t something tangible that must go into the shelves. If you sell 1 or sell a billion copies the difference in costs is negligible. Completely different for physical objects where you need to produce just enough or if you make a nice cartel you can produce less and increase the prices.
