Agriculture.
It’s because we can to an extreme. Extremely lightweight distro. Very nice in containers and vms. One of the most loved ones out there.
Windows people don’t get async saves? Wtf. Where are the Spyware benifits?
Factorio is so amazing on linux. Like the devas actually care about Linux. They care so much that went on to shit on Gnome for no client side decorations. Absolute legends. Wish more studios wer like them.
Use bottles. It works great for me.
Install bottles via flatpak. Run it and create a new bottle with the gaming preset. Got to the settings - > runners and download the latest “proton-ge” runner. Then just add the exe to the bottle and add it to your library. Launch to play.
It really helps smooth the curve. Some installers fail to open so I use the system default to install it and then copy them over to my games directory.
PS: if you see no exe files being listed when you try to add an exe, clear the file filter in the bottom to all files. Bottles has this weird bug on some DEs
You did this wearing a proper Gimp suit I presume
Man thanks for sharing the fizz buzz link.
Refox OS. I know today isnt a magic bullet but it makes committing memory mistakes a lot harder. Also rust gets first class status as the is standard library calls it and we can slowly get over the legacy of C.
Yes, there may be an alternative answer. Just need to throw general relativity out of the window.
To be fair, future physics may indeed throw it away so there’s that.
Dark matter IS A THING. At least there is some thing out there that interacts weakly with the elctroweak force and interacts normally with gravity. We have plenty of evidence of it EXISTING. The problem of dark matter is we don’t know what it is… But sure as hell there is something. See the Bullet cluster if you don’t believe me. And if you are a bit physics savvy, you can understand that it’s evidence is imprinted in the CMB. We just don’t know what it is.
Doesn’t arch auto install 32 bit headers on enabling multilib?
I want to disagree. Like I get that installing arch maybe difficult for someone not familiar with the Linux environment, once you install it up and make it sweet looking, for daily use, it’s generally cool. A non tech savvy person is anyways going to be using the browser and office suite mostly, so I install Firefox with uBlock and install Libre office. I also install flatpak and packagekit and they can wasily install software from there, I recommend them to use flathub mostly and I have had only one of my friends machine borked because they read a little bit stuff online and installed stuff from the aur. And the aur borking a system is rare too.
The only prerequisite to giving new users an arch install is that you are there for support.
This is by far the best explanation
Yeah… It’s an awesome crate. I use it for my app too.
What the fuck is local low? I don’t understand. Local is Billy G’s jizz… I get that… And Roaming is for poor plebs. But why LocalLow? Is it like cache? But I have seens games saving their save files there. I don’t understand
All hail zorp the surveyor
I have changed my mind about how much we should bet on the fucker actually existing. The dude who sent the Carl Sagan video… You da mvp
Ohh it’s much worse than that. Usually humans would live to around 60 if they survived infancy before that. Their diet was varied and since food was a limited resource, there was no way of population blasts. But agriculture just fucked it all up. We stopped moving around since the land needed constant maintainence and since the diet became mostly carbohydrates, combined with back breaking work, our life expectancy dropped to 40. We didn’t domesticate wheat, wheat domesticated us. It took modern medicine… ie 20th century to get the average life expectancy up again.
I recommend you read the book called Sapiens. It’s an eye opener.
