I use the name Johnny Incognito on everything I register, has not been a problem with namecheap. If you want to follow the rules then you should use your real name but its not like they are gonna ask to see ID or care at all unless you have something else going on to draw attention to it.
I think the idea here is that you are running your own discord, and only people with modded clients can use it because its not approved by discord.
is there any sort of way to have the chat logs be public and searchable? the worst thing about discord being a walled garden is that all the info on it can only be accessed by a discord client.
The best you can do is freeze them, you just have to do each on separate on their respective websites.
What you describe doesnt really make sense so ill suggest what i think you really want;
You want your vps to be the wireguard server, the local PC connects as a client this “proxies” your connection so torrent swarms see the IP of your vps.
If you want port forwarding it gets a bit complicated because you need to forward the vps port over wireguard, but this is optional so you dont have to worry if you can’t figure it out.
Caddy doesn’t really seem relevant unless you want to have a domain name that forwards to your home network.
is there a good tv focused android rom you know of that would justify unlocking it? i havent found any that dont act like a phone and require a mouse to use. i like the stock ONN over others because it was so easy to debloat without needing a new rom but i def understand wanting to have full control over everything too.
ONN tv from walmart with all the bloat removed by adb and projectivity laauncher. you will not find a better option for under $30
Unless you need online multiplayer it doesn’t make much difference. I have my switch block Nintendo by DNS so its effectively me banning them instead of the other way around but if they did ban me I probably wouldn’t notice.
Its not exactly the same thing but link warden let’s you save and archive pages with custom categories.
the corps that run the services outsource the job of sending out notices, the companies they pay to do it will flag anything and everything that even hints at piracy. they just have to justify their paycheck.
im just speculating but it would make sense to me if a lot of these piracy troll agencies get paid based on how many notices get complied with and a lot of places are just going to comply without any pushback, even if there is pushback for false flags its not like there are legal consequences for wrong ones so they just flag everything they find and see what sticks.
Its not a violation, they’re just abusing the DMCA because they know people won’t/can’t afford to fight them.
Does getting an invite mean you can use it without paying? I stopped with Usenet like 15 years ago when my ISP stopped offering it for free. Not really interested in paying another subscription just to pirate stuff but if I can get an invite for free I’d love to check it again and see what all the fuss is about.
On Linux most distros do not actually ship chrome but chromium which is the open source version of chrome.
It also comes down to how different groups define FOSS. GNU considers even helper programs (like a package manager or firmware installer) to be “bad” for the user because they “encourage” its use so they dont want them included in GNU approved distros like trisqul or guix . this leads to those “freedom respecting” distros not having things like basic WiFi drivers or support for any 3rd party drivers.
To a less extreme degree but similar is a distro like debian, where there is a “non_free” repository available but users can choose not to enable it.
And so GNU sees having the playstore as a bad thing because its gateway to installing other non free software. Its also safe to assume most gnu evangelists probably don’t care much for chromium either.
Absolutely, my suggestion was just for folks who have apps that still require play services, not everyone can avoid it, but you can minimize usage if you do need them.
Not all of them can disable google play service apps
Even if apps you use depend on play store one of the things you can do on GrapheneOS is temporarily disable it and only turn it back on when apps refuse to run, another option is just keeping those apps in a separate work profile.
That applies to pretty much all desktop apps, your browser profile can be copied to get access to all your already logged in cookie sessions for example.
I dont ever recall giving portainer my real email.
