That’s like saying 14 lashes is more favorable than 15 lashes.

And the denazification claim was a stupid one in the first place because how does Russia verify that Ukraine is denazified? If Ukraine kicks out of the government all the suppose nazis, is Ukraine denazified? What if they all denounce nazism. Does that count? What’s stopping Russia from putting more people in their “nazi” list? It was a vague demand and shouldn’t have been a demand in the first place.

Online casinos are also tech. The devops in the article literally says they set up proxies to continue operating in countries where their main domain is blocked. I know the core domain of casinos are very regulated, but I doubt the entire tech aspect of online casinos are regulated. I imagine there’s plenty of fuckery to do there.

Also casinos will throw out people who benefit too much at the expense of the casino. The casino benefitted too much at the expense of Cloudflare and refused to share the profits, so Cloudflare did what any casino would do and kicked them out.

EAC and Battleye both can work with Proton, the developers just need to set it up. Those two cover most of the gaming anticheat market. Battleye should be as simple as the dev telling Battleye to turn on Proton support and EAC should be an SDK upgrade.

It’s all relatively easy to support Linux, people just need to pressure developers to make it happen.

What’s your point? Socialism doesn’t mean be you have to be poor, socialism is about getting the full value of your work. If your work is so valuable it makes you a multi-millionaire then from a socialist perspective that’s completely fine. Your point makes sense only if you have no fucking clue what socialism is.

Well considering pretty much every modern game engine supports HDR and HDR has been a standard feature in AAA games for at least a decade I seriously doubt they’re going to drop it 10 years from now. The only way it gets removed is if something better comes along and makes HDR obsolete.

Democratic socialism is still socialism (It’s a bit broad to explain what it exactly means as it can range from wanting to achieve socialism through elections to not considering capitalist democracy as democracy and wanting to revolutionize into an actual democracy). That’s not the thing Nordic countries have. Nordic countries have social democracy, which is a form of capitalism where the government puts emphasis on social programs.

Social democracy can look great, because you can end up with a welfare state like the nordic countries did. But it’s not really trying to get rid of capitalism, it only tries to alleviate the problems capitalism causes.

  • Sure, I can also do just fine without the video game market. In fact I could also do okay without the farming market as well, I would just have to put significantly more time and effort into growing my own food. The key point you seem to be missing is that we can all do without those things, we just don’t want to.

You could also live without the farming market, but it would mean you might have to move to somewhere where you could have arable land, learn how to farm and how to store the produce. But that clearly would be a significant reorganization of your life, and most importantly one you don’t want to make. Obviously if you had to you’d do it. Or are you so hyperbolic you’d claim you’d rather die than learn farming? Saying you need the farming market comes from a position of privilege. You’re privileged enough to have the option to not have to farm so you prefer not to farm.

Replacing games with some other entertainment is much the same. The change isn’t as drastic, but the reason to not want to change is the same. Being able to play games or engage with other forms of entertainment comes from a position of privilege. We’re privileged enough to have an option to play games and we prefer to play games over other forms of entertainment. We don’t want to lose that privilege (much like you don’t want to lose the privilege of not having to farm) so we care what happens to the industry.

The only “delulu” here is you, who somehow acts like they’re holier than thou when in reality you just have no respect for the very hobby you partake in.
