I tried the “New Outlook” a few months ago. There was no longer a Save As option for attachments. All attachments were downloaded to the default downloads directory.
I immediately uninstalled and didn’t look back.

I’ve been wishing for play pause since audio books and podcasts came into the world. It’s ridiculous that nobody has this button in 2024
Congrats on the new Subaru. I also happily paid for the app using the introduction 3 year plan. Hit me up when you hit year 4 and see the REAL price tag they charge.
I’d recommend an alternative to ynab such as Actual Budget or one of the others mentioned in this thread. YNAB is great software but the subscription price of it is getting ridiculous.
The ridiculous (and strangely beautiful) form factor is the only reason we’re talking about it. At this point, if you want to launch a product and get eyeballs on it, you partner with Teenage Engineering and lean into whatever comes out as a result.
It’s probably not going to be an actually useful device but it would have been even less successful if it was an app.
Truth. That OA cancellation still hurts though.
I watched Fringe when it came out and loved it but for whatever reason never saw the final season. Last year I finally went back and finished it. I will concede the ending was a bit rushed but also I’m grateful it did get an ending. A lot of great shows get axed and don’t get to wrap up anything. So while not perfect, I’m going to say it was decent enough and does wrap everything up.
It’s a great ride along the way too.
Updoots for Fringe. Season 1 is very monster of the week but it’s laying groundwork for everything that’s coming. It’s a fun ride all the way through and it got a decent conclusion. Watch it if you haven’t already.
That was the day I cancelled.
I thought the same thing when my Disney+ rate went up a couple months ago and I couldn’t find the email warning about it in my inbox or spam folders.
Why do we let these companies get away with everything? If the rates are going up, show me in the app/ui. Make it opt in. Disable my ability to watch anything until I approve the increase in spend. It should be illegal to just change the terms of a contract and say “I sent you an email.”
It sure does but the odds of me using it are almost zero since I keep it docked and play on a big TV. Maybe Professor Layton will get me to pull it out but I imagine the puzzles will still be designed around the fact that a lot of people will not be using the touch screen. It’s going to affect the types of puzzles seen.
It’s going to be a little weird not playing on a touch screen but I’m ready for more layton adventures.
I’m pretty sure that’s how Hulu started. A joint venture through several companies to stream all their shows. Problem is once Disney got in everyone else tried to spin up their own and cash out of Hulu.
It’ll be investing to see what alternatives crop up one piracy makes it’s comeback.
Doesn’t appear so in the version i just grabbed from fdroid.
Once upon a time it was worth it for me too. But since every service is running up the rates, I had to decide which, if any, deserved my money. Google didn’t make the cut. I have a feeling nobody will by the end of year
My Disney price went up and I didn’t get the email warning. No message or warning in app. After having their support tell me “too bad” I just cancelled it and Hulu.
The only thing shocking about this graph to me is how few copies were purchased on GOG. I guess I’m in the minority of people who prefer to support their store directly as competition to Steam .
Photos as an online photo gallery is their implementation yes but they bought up Picasa the desktop gallery early on. That software included tagging and I believe face recognition by the end.
Anna Gomez is the second nominee. The first nominee got tired of waiting for confirmation.
It didn’t last one afternoon on my work laptop. I went to save an attachment from a vendor and couldn’t pick the folder it saved to. They literally got rid of SAVE AS.
Fuck Microsoft.
