That’s a whole mood. I hate attention, but what if???

Yep, like I totally came out to face increased harassment for shits and giggles, it’s so much fun.
I mean I once listened to my sister talk about buttonholes for like an hour, so deal. Who knew there were so many different kinds of buttonholes?
Yep, my one grandma would do this, it was so irritating to go anywhere with her.
Exactly. Like there can be safety concerns and such, but not to the extent that some places push it. Like my neurologists infusion center doesn’t care about tattoos, piercings, or hair color unless they might get caught on things or are NSFW. So all piercings must be small, smooth, and not hoops. Even gauged ears are fine as long as they have solid plugs. And most people are smart enough to only put NSFW tattoos in easily coverable places. Employers thinking they can just blinding dictate your entire appearance is absurd.
Given how many grown adults think you can hold in your period, that everyone gets their period at the same time, cramps are fake, having sex standing up means you won’t get pregnant “cause gravity” (she had two kids and still believed that), tampons are sex toys, periods are sexual and therefore children shouldn’t be taught about them… Yeah, how menstrual cycles work is not common knowledge many places. And yes, I’ve met people who believe every single one of these things.
Yep, I’ve had transphobes lose their minds when I correct them saying “Back when you were a girl” with “I’ve never been a girl, you just thought I was one”. I’m non-binary, I’ve always been non-binary.
It’s only too late when you’re dead. So it’s not too late.
Yep, exactly. But some people refuse to learn the difference. Especially given the number of people who justify misgendering me by saying “It’s kinda hard to not see you as a woman when you’re dressed like one” when 100% of what I’m wearing is from the men’s department.
You disagree that Lemmy is not the government? I’m talking about law here, not opinions.
This makes no sense in reply to my comment. Free speech is about the government, changing Lemmy instances won’t change the fact that Lemmy is not the government. My opinion, views, etc have nothing to do with this. As far as free speech is concerned a community would be free to remove trans positive comments if they so chose.
I’m wondering if it’s supposed to be non-binary and whoever did the stats didn’t know the difference. I’m non-binary and the number of people who assume that GNC, non-binary and androgynous all mean the same thing is ridiculously high. I’ve seen surveys that have gender options of “male, female, gender non-conforming”.
That would be like trying to criticize blackness without criticizing black people, it’s not possible.
Free speech is about the government not being able to restrict your speech. Guess what? Lemmy isn’t the government.
Yep, it’s just practice, lots and lots of practice. I did it while making eggs- if I did it right I fried them, if I broke the yokes scrambled eggs it is. I was taught by an actual chef in culinary camp, but it took me awhile to actually get the technique down. I can one hand crack, but only if I don’t care about the yoke staying together.
