I’ve always spelt it with two Ls and just found after your comment that American English doesn’t 🤢
American here, I tend to spell words the British way because they make more sense, and I’ve done it since I was a teenager, for some reason it pisses off my older brother lol.
Examples:
etc. etc.
He’s referring to how you need an iPhone or iPad to set up the Apple TV; you can’t sign in to it without one. It’s an odd ‘overlook’ from Apple.
Apologies, they did for an iCloud Update on Apple TV: https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/gadgets-news/apple-tv-users-may-need-an-iphone-or-ipad-to-accept-icloud-terms-and-conditions/articleshow/97063589.cms
Niether are open source, but the full versions of AdGuard for each platform, Adguard Public DNS and DuckDuckGo.
If your browser supports PWAs, I’d reccomend that over the electron app you linked. You’d get better performence, and it would be snappier.
He has also started paying for YouTube Premium again, despite making I believe two videos on why it’s bad. Oddly enough, I noticed it in the video where he talks about his friend who repaired childhood photos of his.
What does this have to do with privacy?
Users like this is exactly why you don’t need a VPN; you clearly have no understanding of how they work.
/r/Piracy is just a bunch of memes, and this community actively talks about piracy, it’s ethical philosophy and taking control over your media. There are people who pirate everything regardless of circumstances, but for the most part, I’d argue its people who have been burnt by companies whom they trusted.
Have you been under a rock?
While this doesn’t apply to me; get fucked sony. A POS and a predatory company.
I watched DS9 for the first time last year, and that Rom scene had me laughing so hard!
That’s why I like reeder on Apple devices.
Instead of needing yet another service to subscribe to RSS feeds and have them sync + potentially pay a fee for service, Reeder allows users to subscribe locally and sync it to iCloud across all devices. It was and is a major appeal of the app compared to others in the Apple ecosystem.
Every generation feels this.
I believe the reason that each generation feels this way is the different ways that each generation is exposed to information about current events, wars, etc. and now more than ever with the internet, it’s hard to escape. The internet also makes echo chambers worse than before because not only are they easier to get into, they’re much louder and have more influence.
As for products, companies are focused on user/subscriber growth more than ever instead of having a good product. The idea is essentially “why have a good product people pay for when you can half ass it and get people to pay”.
If you don’t need the “advanced” features of VLC’s desktop app, the UWP app is beautiful and modern looking, while also providing that "opens ALL the formats" VLC UX.
