Seconded. Seth had to pitch the show to Fox as a sort of live-action family guy and kept it going for the first few episodes, but it quickly sheds that vibe and keeps getting better.

You don’t have to like them, you just keep revising the reason you hate them when it becomes clear your reason is wrong. You’re starting from the conclusion of “I don’t like Apple” and just working backwards. That’s what moving the goalpost is.
Yes. I can, and I do.
Why do you keep moving the goalpost?
Fair, but now that they’re using USB-C that’s a temporary thing.
Also most people don’t need USB 3 speeds on their phones anyway because they don’t really plug them into anything that will take advantage of those speeds.
I realize some people do, and for those people the pro is the answer to that.
It seems like you just keep moving the goalpost to keep having a reason to hate Apple.
iPhones have USB-C now……
Not macOS, this is Linux with a macOS-like theme.
Easy tell, macOS has the window buttons on the left, and most Mac apps no longer have a full screen button on the title bar. That’s what the green button does, which is also in the wrong place in this screenshot.
God I’m a nerd.
Yellow 2003 Suzuki Aerio SX. Ugly-ass car, but had a 6-CD changer standard and despite a rating of 20mpg by my calculations I got around 40-ish mpg. As a teenager working a retail job at minimum wage, it was awesome.
They’re also on the USB-IF and co-developed Thunderbolt so even though it’s a great thing for compatibility, all of the issues with it are their fault 😂
I looked into these the other day as my canon inkjet is on its last legs, but it seems any brother laser printer with a comparable featureset now has its own subscription model, and I could be wrong but this is how it seems to work based on my research:
You automatically get a trial subscription with the toner you get in these printer models (not sure, I hope it’s opt-in)
If you don’t continue the subscription after the trial, the toner cartridges lock and there’s no way to continue using them, even if you renew your subscription later. You have to pay for new toner cartridges.
My theory is they’re just trying to stifle the ability to own any content to normalize the concept of not owning content, which over time will make the masses complacent.
Which is stupid, because I’ll happily buy content I like with the guarantee it’ll never be taken from me. That’s not a real risk with physical media so why should that be acceptable with digital media?
He may have been an asshole but Steve Jobs said it best:
Customers want to own their content
And to reuse the same Gaben quote often repeated here:
Piracy is an issue of service, not price.
I’ll do that just as soon as you show me something definitive showing that Apple has an entire revenue stream based on selling user data that isn’t reported.
Dude, get ahold of your emotions. 😂
Samesies my dude
lol I give you a source that refutes your “Apple bad” argument and you have to resort to going after me personally because you have nothing left.
The data collection you mention is device and usage stats, which basically everyone collects. But that was never the issue, which was selling user data for profit. The source I provided compares what Apple and Google collects and determines Apple does not do this.
You can also look up revenue streams for both companies and clearly see that while Apple does not consider this as a revenue stream, it makes up a significant portion of what Google brings in every year. At that point I think you just have misdirected anger.
lol yeah that’s what I was agreeing with you on 🤣
Your turn ;)
You could also just look at the revenue streams reported by each company and see that most other tech companies make a majority of their money on what Apple has been accused of doing.
Also you could just……review their public financial statements and compare to other tech companies. Google is very much an advertising company, and it’s a huge part of their reported profits. The fact that you could ignore that and think Apple is worse simply because you feel like they are is just a silly debate strategy.
I really, really want to see Jordan Klepper debate with interview Trump and not hold back at all.
