I literally thought Spirit airlines too. Sometimes there’s partnerships where a segment might be operated by a smaller regional company so thought that was the case at first glance.

This is what you get when fuck with the pure equation.
Yep. And bad news just sells better.
I think the 2020 election and the pandemic are largely to blame for some spiraling plummets in our feelings about our system as a whole. Both of these events caused some pretty large divides in our government, communities, and even family and friend units.
War and human suffering were already there. Corporate greed and late-stage capitalism effects were already there, as well. We’re all just critically assessing everything together at this point because some of those divides removed a security net of reliability and trust.
That kid’s gotta be around 11 or 12 now. Wonder how he’s doing.
Locks you out if it detects an Android device on you or any of your passengers.
I agree with you on this one. There’s public sentiment and then there’s market reality. The hard truth is that most people have a need for a practical flight route within a certain window and there’s limited choices. Delta, United, etc. only have so many aircraft servicing so many routes and they already bought the aircraft and have to use them. While I’d personally like to avoid the 737 MAX, if it’s the only feasible choice, then that’s the one I gotta roll the dice on. I guess I’ll avoid window seats if possible.
I don’t see the 737 Max being taken off the market even with these options and rebranding wont help as airlines will still list the new model which will be publicly announced by Boeing. So what’s the market adjustment going to be? Cheaper fare? I can honestly see people surging to buy a seat on this deathcraft if prices fall enough. It’ll be like choosing between organic and pesticide-riddled.
Yeah I think people might be more thinking automation vs AI or AI automation. Two different scales but similar elements.
I had to look this up, and this is so nuts, but there are currently 12 states that stilll have sodomy laws as of late 2023: Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Texas.
I think a lot of people might not realize that sodomy is often legally defined as anything that is not PIV intercourse. So most foreplay and obviously any sex practiced by homosexual couples. I absolutely don’t get why there isn’t a stronger push to get rid of this and other dumb laws against offenses that are widely committed and/or are hard to enforce.
Well I guess this one kind of makes sense in this current state of political turmoil.
Wanted an electric car but it’s just a too expensive for me right now with both the purchase and my house electric panel upgrade I’ll have to do for a charging feature.
I got an ebike instead and have been using the crap out of it. Using the ebike instead of the car for simple trips like going to nearby cafes and grocery stores totally changes my day in a positive way. It’s actually postponed my want to get an electric car. I can say im partially green now but without having to have made such a huge financial sacrifice.
At the hospital after you crash: dammit I forgot to set up autopay
Oof I don’t know the backstory on this, so not sure if I should feel bad for her or not. At the end the finish she was like aw shucks last again, well fk it
Sample pricing for BMW self-driving add-on feature:

75% accuracy in obstacle avoidance (lowest legal limit!) - $99/mo.
disclaimer: BMW cannot guarantee 100% accuracy in accuracy rates
This is beyond fkd up. There’s a Michael Crichton novel Next that has an extremely similar premise where the rights to a living character’s DNA fell under eminent domain and was upheld by courts of law. So his DNA could be sourced and used without his consent. Super interesting fkd up read that is apparently become a non-fiction topic now.
Yeah cell phone use and access to the internet in general is so ingrained in most modern cultures that it really can’t be meaningfully stopped. These devices connect people, particularly teenagers to friends, significant others, trending news, and provides an outlet to many things they don’t have other accesses to as not-yet-adults. Full implementation of this law would literally be enough to start the next cultural revolution.
I really wanted that last slowed down RV to make it. Nope - NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM.
I’m in the same boat with my foldable. It’d be a handicap now to watch videos on a smaller screen now that I’ve gotten used to the bigger one. I only use the small screen for phone calls now because it’s awkward holding the large screen to your face for that.
Have had a samsung foldable and in a 2 year time period I’ve had to replace the factory installed screen protector twice. It started w a little crack that crept upwards until the whole protector was split in half. Ended up just peeling it off after the 2nd replacement started cracking. I imagine ppl don’t like the idea of not being able to protect their screens for one of their premium products…
On the flip side I did watch the superbowl from a hotel pool with this phone and it was perfect for that.
Death ambivalence? I feel like I’ve seen that term floated somewhere.
