  • This is a beautiful game. The OST and visuals are amazing, and the movement is pretty fun as well. I remember playing a couple of times with one person through the whole game. Once was one of my first few runs, and the last was a white robe who showed me where all the collectibles are.

  • It’s undoubtedly nice during that step of the process, but afterwards you’re on a platform that may not be well suited to the purpose. It’d be better just to make the new account on an actual forum. Granted, I use Bitwarden now, so I don’t sweat making new accounts anymore.

This makes me wonder if there is a centralized system for forums. We have stackexchange already, but that’s really designed to be a question and answer site.

  • Yessir

I’d just like to interject for a moment. What you’re refering to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.

  • I did somehow manage to ruin an SSD when trying to set up dual booting. I couldn’t actually read the data off of it after whatever nonsense I did. After reformatting it a few times to no avail, I gave up on it.

I probably should have tried reinstallling the firmware on the SSD, but I had it at that point. Even so, the PC still worked. After convincing the computer to boot off of the original drive, I had no issues.

  • Neither CEOs nor Boards are less accountable IMO. That just explains why they behave the way that they do. In a better world, there’d be incentives for those in power to do the right thing, but it just doesn’t play out that way much of the time. It’s probably because it’s hard to design those incentives well in the first place while simultaneously preventing bad actors from ruining it.

  • I could be wrong here, but the CEO is at the mercy of the board as well in many situations. If they could just manage the company well without pressure to make decisions that benefit the shareholders more than the company itself, you would see more good CEOs.

Since they’re basically pressured into ruining companies a lot of the time, the only reasonable way to hire people is to offer them good severance packages and incentives to do so. If you really held them responsible, no one in their right mind would do it.
