Summary

New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has rejected Trump’s plan to deploy the National Guard for mass deportations, citing harm to families, the economy, and state emergency response capabilities.

While opposing mass deportations, she supports federal agents targeting criminal activity.

Lujan Grisham also called for reviving a bipartisan immigration reform bill for comprehensive solutions.

Trump’s team defended the policy, describing it as the largest deportation effort in U.S. history.

New Mexico joins other states in preparing legal challenges to Trump’s hardline immigration agenda.

What honestly gets more more than all else was the UTTERLY DERANGED level of apoligism we saw, at the time, for what were clearly, objectively bad strategies, on social media, but especially here on Lemmy.

All of it. The right wing shifts. Hiding waltz. Liz fucking Cheney. The draconian border bill. Pretending she was doing well when objectively polling was saying she wasn’t. Pure Hopi m being mainlined and when you pointed it out, you were called abot or worse, a Trump supporter.

What’s most important to me isn’t necessarily that we figure out what what wrong, but that the collective morons pull their heads out of their asses when it comes to living in a fact based world. There were a handful of posters and commenters here who got it right. Who got it right early and consistently throughout. And Lemmy worked itself into a fever pitch casting them as pariahs. And it came from moderation or at least was fueled by it.

The act of living in delusions is what truly cost the Democrats this election cycle, and if you can’t handle people being critical of your party, especially from within, get the fuck out of this game. It’s not for you.

Exactly this. Blind loyalty is only recently a democratic party trait. And it’s not a good one.
