      Another data leaks trap. It’s like Zuck is saying, “Come here, so I can get more data from you guys.”

      Every policy about data collection is mandatory for users, with no difference from just setting it without asking.

        There is a difference in setting it without asking, and it’s your explicit consent.

        Wasn’t the big issue that you didn’t consent, before?

        Nobody cares. I don’t care about targeted ads. It’s fucking ads, not death by firing squads.

          I feel like you’re the perfect candidate for reading more about it. It’s not the ads, it’s how they obtain the information, what they are obtaining and how that information can be shared and used in other circumstances that are of real concern. Cambridge analytica (now emerdata) showed people can be persuaded with this information to vote a certain way and this is on a massive scale so imagine what people could do with a more targeted approach. Nice username
